Celandine Argyris

Celandine never took her father's advice, never found Nios, and asked him for training. It wouldn't matter anyway. She stopped seeing Mahle, or had the healer ceased contact with her? Not long after that, she stopped coming home so often, as it held little for her anymore. Her life had been ripped apart at the very seams that once held it together so well. To say that she had forgotten was impossible. Even 'okay' was a stretch. She lived in a constant haze, filled with lavender, and nothing. One day melded into the next, and she became more of a parasite, than a predator. Skin, and bones, the youth looked nothing of her former self. Hell, it had been so long, even the healer, whom she once considered her best friend in the world, might not even recognize her now.

As dirty paws crossed the threshold that labeled Silent Moon Plateau's borders, she wondered how much longer Phineas would stand her escapades. He'd get sick of it soon enough, and be rid of her. Maybe even today. She had run the scenario through her mind time, and time again. He wouldn't do it of course, he'd probably have one of his subjects do the dirty work, so his conscious might remain clean. Imagine his surprise when she turned on them, fighting rather than fleeing. There would be blood, but whose would weigh more heavily on the great king's mind? Celandine found herself wondering.

She did not make her way to the caches, lest someone find her there. Instead, she found a quiet spot in the shade, beneath a great tree, where she could close her eyes, and rest.

Maeve Destine Caravello

The moment Maeve woke up she realized something was, well, quite off. Though not being able to place her paw on exactly what it could be, she headed out to partake in her usual schedule. Whilst exploring pack grounds further, and perhaps getting herself in a little trouble with the adults, the young pup only found herself growing more and more frustrated with the feeling. Was it all in her head? Visually, nothing seemed out of place. The Destine-Caravello was beginning to believe that she was growing crazy, could it be an unspoken hereditary trait passed to her through older generations? Grumbling, the monochrome youth sought out a quiet place to collect her thoughts.

Call it fate, or maybe luck on her behalf, but instead of her silent haven Maeve seemed to stumble across an even greater treasure. The Plateau's very own princess had a seemingly similar idea to the pup, and she was not afraid to tell her all about it. "Celandiiee!!" she cried, tail wagging at an alarming pace. To the youth's displeasure it'd been months since their last encounter, but with a little more luck maybe she could coax the snow-white royalty to like her a little more this time around. Conceivably then the Agyris would spend more time with the girl, and ultimately mentor her if at all possible. It was no secret that Maeve idolized the heir, molding herself into something similar would be a dream come true.

"Celendiee, you dun' look so good. You gotta cold or sumthin'?" she frowned, approaching the princess further. A living skeleton, that's all Maeve could distinguish. It was almost as if an imposture was placed before her very eyes, but the pup knew better than that. "You wan' me to get you some med-sin?"

Celandine Argyris

They say denial is the first step, and when it passes, anger takes over. That stage isn't supposed to last, sliding right into bargaining, before the fourth. Celandine seemed to be eternally stuck somewhere between the second, and the third, though the fifth seemed too impossible to bear. Accepting her fate would mean giving up, as if she hadn't already done so.

Awoken by Maeve's call, the fallen princess felt the usual prickle of irritation gnaw at her empty stomach. The creature couldn't even pronounce her name right. A pity, that the lovely syllables were butchered whenever the monsters decided to bother her. As the light padding of paws against Earth neared, the fae tried to muster up a snarl, but the fight had left her long ago. She hadn't even the energy to manage a warning growl. It was for the better, she supposed. Someday she might be calling the monotone cub queen. The thought was shut down immediately, lest she have another episode without Mahle around.

The youth was able to crack dull amber eyes open just in time to catch the cub's frown, which was followed by yet another reminder of her pathetic state. Fantastic. "I'm fine." She said, in hopes that the girl would just leave. Entertaining the heathens that threatened her crown would be far too tiring a task, especially in her state. Not to mention, the cub had no right to worry about her well-being, especially when the pup's very existence threatened everything that Celandine had worked so hard for.

What the princess showed in her sickly appearance only barely surpassed her outwardly sour attitude. It simply couldn't be possible, a bag of bones such as herself actually attempting to lie about her state of health. Yet, here they were. "Yer not though!" she screeched in a well unpleasant manner. Letting Celandine continue about all alone to whither closer to death was far from a realistic option in Maeve's book, whether it pleased the elder or not. "I dun no bout' no plants ta' help ya', but I think ya' need t' eat." she scolded, still very displeased with the scenario laid in front of her.

Thinking about her deceleration a bit further, Maeve realized she hadn't the slightest idea where about the caches resided. Asking Celandine to accompany her there would be outright idiotic, but asking for directions would, in a way, ruin the atmosphere she played up. The pup wanted to impress her role-model, even if it meant possibly getting lost. Surely she'd run into someone who could assist her on the way, if the decision truly came to a close. But, that meant leaving the heir alone.. Even as weak as she was, the white-beauty would likely up and leave. "When ya' last eat anyway?" she complained, letting a pout settle upon her face. The situation was confusing, and one she'd never thought to prepare herself for, but a solution was necessary. Even if it took all day.

'I wun letcha down, we gun' figure this out!'
