The guardian had been testing the air in sorts, making sure everything was fine to sooth his suspicions he had. He told himself he was being silly, having little to no reason to doubt the dragon but there was this lingering gut feeling off of their first encounter. Perhaps it was just Karpos’ pride acting up, the offense taken when the injured dragon thought he could take his rank from him. The brute simply continued his idiosyncratic border patrol like he did when he first woke up in the morning. The sun rose in the sky, nearly at its peak. Truthfully, he had slept more than he had intended to, but it wasn’t something that he couldn’t fix and it had been the first time it happened.
No harm, no foul… right? Either way, the chocolate boy continued his patrol, intending to seek out Karina or Naia after he finished unless either of them managed to find him first. There was a certain interest and he felt as if both his aunt and the princess would be able to answer any questions he had about the man. His gait was pressed with a certain amount of power as his long limbs carried him over the now familiar terrain. He had his doubts about moving, but the Kingsfall had begun to feel like home despite the emptiness he felt knowing that another wolf he was close to in his life had abandoned him.
