Sijinali Montalo
@KovaEvening. A bit cold, after a light snowfall.

Sijinali pads along in the dying light.
She had wandered a bit east, but such travels didn't wear her down much.
She had come from the eastern side of the lore, after all. Her pace is steady
as she weaves through the cherry trees. The trees were barren; their branches
naked and exposed to the cold. Siji rubs her side along one in attempt to satisfy
an itch. It was nice to stretch her legs once in awhile. She wouldn't be gone long
from her packlands. This would be a good opportunity to scout out some herds of
deer or perhaps find larger game.

Siji slows her pace as she nears the end of the orchard. Before her, a handful
of apple trees stand. They were stripped of leaves as well, and their fruits were
plentiful on the ground around them. Twitching her face, she moves forth curiously,
having never tried an apple before. Once close, she lowers her head and sniffs lightly.
It seemed the apples had been on the ground for a few weeks. Some of the red fruits
had chunks bitten out of them, presumably from deer. She nibbles at an apple; a
strip of skin peels off and sticks to one of her fangs. Lapping at it, Siji then decides
to bite the apple. Crunch. The taste was bitter, but she wanted more. Juice runs down
her dark lips and sticks into the fur on her chin. She nuzzles other apples around,
taking bites from ones that looked appealing. After about a half hour, Sijinali begins
to feel different.

A warmth was heavy in her stomach; a lazy grin was plastered on her face.
Her lids droop. "Wha-" she tilts her head, attempting to walk forward. She
stumbles, but her natural sense of balance keeps her from toppling over. She was
confused as to why she felt how she did, but she was kind of enjoying it. Her eyes
fall to an apple at her paws. "You" she groans, peering down at the fruit.
"You, y-you did thish" she ends in a slur. A hiccup erupts from her, and
she only grins wider. This was going to be interesting.

Kova Lagina
Combines  both Halloween RE's        Siji getting drunk on apples in an orchard and Kova coming across a giant toad.
Not sure if this thread should be switched form P to RE in order to get the RE points at the end though? Thread was posted on the 31st so should be good.

(Going to pretend this toad will not kill him)

Kova had been a good boy for quite some time doing regular chores and tasks for the pack as well as keeping close or inside of the borders. It had been some time since his last visit to the outside world, but the awesome moon that filled the sky for the past two nights gave Kova the motivation he needed to just get away for a short time. He wanted to run under the moonlight and enjoy the brisk night without any distractions or troubles. So the boy took off and trekked farther than he had for some time. Kova was more confident in his ability to get back home by himself nowadays and had no fear of getting lost.

The tart smell of apples made the silver lad drift towards an orchard like a wraith. He had come across only one other orchard prior to this, and during that joyous adventure had chased a nuisance animal away with Firefly. Now, wanting to relive that happy time, Kova pointed himself into the apple orchard still loping at a quick pace through the forest. The wind then changed bringing with it the smell of someone familiar. Kova slowed his pace then turned about to greet the she wolf. I wonder why Sijinali is all the way out here? I guess its kinda close to the woodlands... he thought quietly while looking through the fog and mist for her form. The moonlight lit up the fog so that the low lying clouds cast shadows upon the earth. It was truly a beautiful sight.

Then something large hopped to his right as he approached it. Kova almost tripped to a stop as he turned quickly to see a giant toad trying to hop away from him. The thing was at least as long as his tail and its eyes were rather round and scary looking. Kova was immediately intrigued in it. The scent of Sijinali made him pause to think about whether he wanted to see her first and leave the toad, but he thought better than to do that. The toad will run off and I may never find it again. She will always be around the thickets hopefully. His thoughts progressed quickly before Kova went to follow the toad.

He had hunted frogs before and eaten them, but they had never tasted good to the young male. This thing certainly looked like a frog, but it looked dry and smelled different too. He was very curious as to whether it would make a good meal or not. Since the toad already had spotted him Kova had no choice but to hop around trying to catch the thing as it bounced away from him. Eventually he was able to pin the stupid creature and start gnawing on its back trying to get a good grip on it. Kova tasted something horrendously gross and let go before seeing the white stuff leaking out from the toads poison glands. He of course didn't know that those white droplets now smeared against his tongue, teeth, and jaws were the frogs poison though, but he definitely did not want to keep biting into something that tasted as bad as this thing.

“It's worse than a rotten through maggot filled opossum belgh..” He tried wiping his mouth off onto his leg while the toad began hopping away once more. After a little while Kova realized that the taste wasn't going away and gave up. Occasionally he would smack his lips as the silver prince meandered towards Sijinali's scent. He wasn't in a hurry to get to her, not with how things were turning out so far tonight. He had half a mind to actually bed down right there and go to sleep.

"Kova..." a gritty old voice spoke out to the young wolf making him twist around to see who had called him. The voice was achingly familiar, one that he could only remember in dreams now. No one was there when he gazed upon the moonlit earth.

"Kova.." a second much more feminine voice echoed to his left making Kova jump around to look for the voice he had imagined.   “M-m-mom?” Kova asked looking around at the misty terrain. He spotted a flicker of movement, then watched in amazement as his father seemed to form out of the fog itself. The young wolf began shaking as he watched wide eyed at the scene before him.   “Father? H-how?” He trembled as a second form appeared over his shoulder. Kova yanked away and fell onto his side looking back up at his mother Minka stupidly.

"We're here boy..." The spectral form of Tokino rumbled warmly before looking to Minka and winking at her. Kova felt his eyes begin to tear up as he gazed back and forth at the both of them. Their colors were drab against the dark bluish gray landscape, as if the earth and rain had washed out the life from their eyes, but it was really them.

"Don't cry Kova." Minka appeared to caress the top of Kova's head but he felt nothing. Instead he only watched as she made the motion of comforting him. Then he broke down and starting crying the hardest he had ever cried in his life.   “...b-but I missed you so much... b-both of you p-p-please come home w-with me! T-the others.. Kino, Draven, and Ari..... T-they need-” His voice was cut off as Kova looked up and saw the forms of his parents beginning to mush into the fog once more. His heart bled as a new crack was torn into it, then he watched as their loving faces suddenly turned into evil angry ones.

“M-mom? Dad?” Kova sobbed before their shapes turned into two somethings with big round humps. Their eyes stretched out of their sockets and their skin became shiny and wet. Their long muzzles turned into round gaping holes of blackness with sharp needle-like teeth. As his mothers form slowly turned into this monster thing Kova scrambled sideways away from her and got up onto all fours. Fear covered his gaze and as soon as the two specters turned to howl at him the gray prince yelped before turning around and running from the two snail monsters that were now trying to eat him. The trees around him started to look as if they were bending as he ran by; as if they were made of twizzlers instead of hard wood, and the fog produced ghost after ghost of his parents turning into slugs and snails alike. He was frightened out of his mind as Kova barreled sprinting forwards not two feet in front of @Sijinali and tripped over the roots of the tree she had just been next to. The young male tumbled hard onto the earth scared as hell because a giant snake had just managed to trip him.

Sijinali Montalo

Sijinali brings her head downward, biting at the apple she just spoke to.
Her jaws wrap around it and she bites down hard. A large portion chunks off
whilst the remainder flies off and hits the ground. Chomping down with enthusiasm,
it seemed Siji was in her own world. Her head wasn't on the verge of spinning- no,
she'd have to eat many more apples for that to occur. She laps at her dark
lips, licking up the juices that adorned her face. With her tail wagging, she nuzzles
around some more apples, teetering about and through the trees. She hadn't scented
Kova; his appearance nearly made her throw up the apples she had eaten. The silver
man comes running toward her, his eyes wide and fearful. Sijinali's hackles automatically
raise.

His paw catches a root and he comes tumbling down. Leaping back, the tipsy woman
tilts her head. Her vision was slightly blurred, but when she focused, she could make
out details. "Kova?" Siji asks aloud toward the wolf, attempting to sniff in his
scent. Damn. All she could smell were the apples. Flicking her tail-tip, she nuzzles him
softly. "Kov-" The woman hiccups, and she stumbles back a little, her legs
were becoming like jello. "Kova, you okay?" She wasn't speaking in formalities
as she usually would.

"Ya took quite a tumble there..." A look of concern flashes across her face
before she goes to nudge him gently on his side. She normally wasn't a very touchy
wolf, but the fermented apples were bringing out something different in her. She wanted
to be closer to others; feel closer.

Kova Lagina
LMAO it's almost like he's on a salvia trip

Kova yanks his head upwards to look at Sjinali so fast that his world begins to spin. A snarl coats his face as the colors of the landscape around him melted together mixing for a minute before everything settled back into one place. Upon recognizing the Montalo woman, Kova immediately scrapes the snarl off of his face and whimpers an apology before looking back behind him. The snake still lie there on the ground as if it were dead, but its diamond shaped eyes settled onto his own glittering blue ones making Kova's hackles rise up.   “The monsters.. They are everywhere!” Kova's mangled cry tore from his lips as he quickly hoisted himself up and leaned towards the she wolf. He was too scared to feel awkward by being so close to her. Not when the trees began to dance around them.

All of the sudden the snake turned into a brightly colored stream with gold fish swimming through it. Kova shook his head unsure at what he was looking at, then looked back to Sijinali. She had white wings sprouting from her back arching over the grass as it grew into clumps around her. A giant butterfly then floated behind the woman while Kova's eyes trailed across its beautiful orange wings. His hackles began to gradually fall as he stared wide eyed at all of the strange giant bubbly creatures oozing out of the ground around them. As he looked back to the winged she wolf Kova spots a mushroom growing up behind her until it was so big the cap of it shaded them from the light.

“I... I don't know what's going on. Sijinali do you know why all these strange things are happening?” He asks still leaning on the she wolf while her white wings flutter over his back. His wide dilated eyes swing around taking in the she wolf's form as bright yellow and gold colors sparkle over her pelt.

ooc; I'm dying XD

Sinali's look of worry only grows more as she watches Kova struggle.
The man's hackles rise as he stoops forward toward her, a frightful look upon his
features. A whine is released from his throat in apology, and the drunken woman
can only remain silent as he continues his struggle. "I..I don't know what'sh
happ'nin to you.."
Her speech was definitely becoming affected by the apples. Yet
her mind was still with the situation. Her heart batters in her chest, palpitating in
anxiety. "Did ye eat sumfin' bad, Kova?" she asks. If he said no, she'd have
no idea as to what was happening to him. She didn't want to assume he was crazy..
no, he certainly didn't seem that way upon their first meeting.

He leans into her now, and Sijinali feels her face grow hotter; this warmth was not
from the fermented apples. Her ears press lightly against her head as she instinctively
begins to teeter backward, but she internally scolds herself to be complacent. She holds
still, allowing the male stay where he was against her. She felt helpless in not being
able to assess what exactly was happening to the poor wolf. "Lay down, close your
eyes"
She says clearly now, though her vision was blurring. For a moment, she saw
two of him, but after shaking her head there was only one again.

His eyes were so wide. She could see the whites of them around the irises. Though
she felt a bit uncomfortable, Siji wanted to do her best to calm Kova. It didn't help
that she was a bit intoxicated, but it could be worse. With her face still hot, she
presses her face into the thick fur of his neck, hoping that her touch would soothe him.

Kova Lagina

His eyes remained rounded and alarmed as Sijinali tried to calm the youth down. Her great white wing folded over him in a comforting manner while the young male leans closer to her. His eyes look out at the monsters and mushrooms that were now yanking themselves out of the ground. Watching quietly for a moment Kova see's the mushroom behind them uproot itself before twisting through the air and flying slowly away.  “I-I gnawed on a dry leathery frog a little while ago... Did it do this to me? I've eaten the slimy frogs before and they didn't make me see strange things!” Kova yelped out the last bit as a giant fish with really sharp teeth swam past the pair of wolves close to the youth's face. He leaned further into Sijinali happy to know that she was real by the warmth that radiated from her body.

When she told him to lie down and close his eyes Kova very reluctantly did so. Scooting himself right up against her as he lay down Kova then closed his eyes hoping that the images would go away. They did, but he still felt like something was going on around him. He could still hear the sounds of the birds and the rustling of the grass, but to his warped mind the noises were that of monsters sweeping by or screeching animals.

A minute or two went past and he began to relax and calm down even with the noises of the creatures around them. Eventually Kova opened his opaque dark blue eyes and looked around once again. The creatures had changed into different things now, but as he watched them the male became more and more at ease with the situation. He was adapting after realizing that the creatures weren't actually hurting him. Even the snail monsters that flickered back and forth between his parents images didn't actually attack him. The only thing the strange creatures were doing was getting close to him then backing away. They would walk around in circles by the pair of wolves as Kova looked on.

Then a herd of deer began racing through the woods by the wolves. At first the beasts had been going directly at the wolves until they realized that the two wolves were there. Once the mule deer knew of the wolves they began splitting into two groups to run around the wolves. A small herd of deer split off to the right passing the wolves by a good fifty or so feet, and the second larger herd of deer passed by the left of the wolves only about thirty or so feet away. All Kova saw were the beautiful shining bodies of some strange three legged white creature while the herd passed around them. He looked up to see how some of the beasts that were passing them by had a single great curling horn a top their heads.

“Sijinali what are those odd creatures going by?” Curiosity rang true in his tone as Kova began to detach himself from the she wolf's side. He shivered once he was away from her warm fur but took a few more steps away to watch the unicorn deer run off.

Sijinali tilts her head, squinting at the male in bewilderment
at his statement. He chewed on a frog. A dry, leathery frog. 'Men...' She thinks, about
to roll her eyes. Instead, she closes her lids, sighing heavily before opening them and peering
downward at him. The pressure from his weight increases as he leans further against her. "I
guess that's probably what's done it."
She suggests, unsure as to whether or not such was
true. His words were in panic; Siji felt a bit uneasy but she keeps her calm as she had been doing
since he had stumbled upon her. The light hued woman brings her head downward again, planting
her nose on the top of his head. Whatever was happening to him, she hoped it would stop soon.
Though she did care for this man she really didn't know, she felt a bit like she was babysitting him
now. It was a good thing she was gifted with such amazing patience.

He obeys her words from before, laying and closing his eyes. Keenly observing him, Siji can tell he
is still rather uncomfortable. Within a few minutes, though, his breathing slows and becomes more
steady. Good. Craning her head upward, she pulls the tip of her muzzle away from the top of
his head. Her mind whirs as to what could have possibly happened to bring on these hallucinations.
Could a dry, leathery frog have done such a thing? She grits her teeth slightly, eyes narrowing as
she grows aggravated at not knowing the answer. Perhaps a healer would know the answer to such.

Suddenly, the woman's body jerks in alarm. Her gaze is sharp as she watches a herd of deer stampede
toward then around them. Siji crouches downward, her body hovering over Kova as she does so. Her
ears press against her head, and she winces at Kova's words. He must still be hallucinating. The drunken
woman looks down, and she shrugs. "To me, Kova.... they're just deer. What do they look like to you?
I want to know."
As the hoofed creatures storm by, Siji leans downward, munching upon a few more
apples before allowing to cradle Kova fully against her once more. Her tone is quiet as she speaks into his
right ear "Tell me everything you see. Maybe...maybe it'll help."
