OOC: just around sunset, light breeze,
Random event: Magpies have overrun the forest!

Zahira mowed slowly through the timbers, the setting sun casting shadows everywhere. Birds were singing there after none songs before they to would fall quit and let the sounds of the night rule. The reddish female sighed she had been walking for days, and it seemed that her brother had really vanished from the face of the earth. Had she really lost him completely? She sighed fearing that it might be reality this place was so overrun by mutts that her brothers scent was all but gone. She cursed them every single dam mud that would walk the lands of this place, how she wished she had never left the pack. Yet she had no reason to return, there were nothing there for her anymore. Her life was a mess no pack, no brother and certainly no time for this.

as she looked around her eyes fell on strange black bird whit white feathers siting on a stone with something in its beak. Paying no attention to the tiny bird she mowed on, it was a pretty bird. Walking and walking she found herself stopping in front of a wall of pack scents, she had found a border. Wish for no trouble she turned to leave but something caught her eyes making her stop her movement. Beyond the bordered in one of the trees, a black bird with white feathers were looking at her. She felt her jaw tighten, it couldn't be the bird from earlier it was the same color but notpossible. She mowed one snorting at the black bird.

she followed the border for a while before walking away, not getting fare a strange bird song made her look up. There it was once more the black bird with white feathers were looking at her singing a revolting song. ”I'm I going crazy or what?” she blinked a few times before running towards it with a bark scaring it off along with a few other black birds with white feathers. Apparently, she was not going crazy but there were a dam lot of pretty birds in the forest it seemed.

OOC: Sorry for being tardy with this! xC

The bark was her first clue. The agouti woman grew still; momentarily forgetting the trail of the little rodent she had planned to snack on for dinner. Her oversized ears swiveled away towards the border; straining to pick up any other sounds besides the faint but sharp sounding cry. It was odd, to hear such a thing at the border and to not immediately recognize it as one of their own. For a moment she wondered if she had really heard it at all; or if it was simply one of her subordinates and her ears had been fooled into thinking they'd heard a stranger. Her dark nose quivered in the chilled air, just waiting for the wind to change and tell her more. Curiosity won out, and she started moving slowly forward. Her ears cupped forward hungrily as the agouti woman wove in and out of the trees. The descent brought her closer and closer to danger; and she knew that at the first sign of something suspicious she had to call the pack. There would be no more mistakes with loners.

Her spine tingled dully with the tension in the air. She was always a little nervous; but even more so when inspecting the border on her own. The sudden rush of birds actually made the Queen jump a little, and hesitate in her tracks. Her sunny eyes fluttered after them with pure confusion as she realized that they were only magpies, and no true threat. Whatever was scaring them however; was likely of more concern. With cautious steps the Crest wolf drew even closer, the scent now finally making itself known. It was most certainly no subordinate of hers, and the realization was met with a flash of fear. She could call out right now, but if this wolf had any intentions of joining she wouldn't want to frighten it off. Even if they didn't it never hurt to try.

The peculiarity of the horde of magpies only grew worse as Raela moved on, more and more of the things kept appearing above her; all around. Up in the trees, on the ground, everywhere. It certainly didn't help her nerves, and neither did the first fleeting glimpse of this strange wolf as she harassed them. A dash of red fur slipped by in the trees ahead and the Matriarch froze. She wouldn't go any closer. The border was already behind her a good distance, and close enough to flee toward if need be. Deciding instead to give this one the benefit of the doubt, Raela finally woofed in greeting and let her tail creep up; barely touching its tip to her lower back. She still hesitated to lift her banner to its full height despite being an Alpha. The commanding posture just didn't feel quite right; especially in a situation such as this. There was some distance between them that would have to be crossed to hold a conversation at normal volume; and she observed carefully just how this stranger would respond to it.
