Darkwater Rapids you know what they say about the young

They had ventured beyond the top of the falls which gave name to the area within which was nestled their home, as Ember for one was eager to see what lay past them. Following the river was easy, and she did not worry about traveling too far from the Pines given how simple it would be to turn around and find their way back. Thus she moved ahead with reckless abandon, racing forward in short bursts, and constantly buzzing with her sister about the things that they saw.

It wasn't until the water deepened and picked up speed that she began to slow down, paying closer attention to it, and curious as to why its nature would change so. The destruction of the land itself did little to capture her curiosity, as such decimation was apparent within her own home and thus viewed as normal where such a thing might have given other wolves pause to wonder of the history behind it all. No, it was the rapids that at last were foudroyant enough to give her total pause, stopping the girl in her tracks.

"Woah, man, I'd hate to try swimming in that," she declared aloud, golden eyes bouncing to Bracken to gauge her agreeance.
