Lorcan & Piety
Oh how I meant to tease him
Oh how I meant no harm
Touching his back with my hand I kiss him
I see the wasp on the length of my arm

She hadn’t forgotten about him. She thought he was out scouting or tracking but he hadn’t come home. No amount of @Morganna or @Wraith’s attention would make her forget about the tawny healer.

The pale female had stumbled out of the den that morning into the cold. It was a snowy day which meant if he had been nearby his tracks were likely covered. The female knew she couldn’t test her limits, though. The monadnock couldn’t afford any more injuries this winter. Especially when it was their healer that was absent. Where could he have gone to? There were no herbs to collect with snow still present. He had always been so open about going hunting too and she had heard nothing about that.

Her morning had waned into the afternoon before she knew it. The female matched the land with the snow on her topside. She was hidden out here in the tundra and surely her tracks would disappear throughout the day with this snow.

”Lorcan!” She called out as if he might appear before her. He had always been there when she called before, why wouldn’t he be now? There was no name in return, no howl, not even a gentle bark. The tattered dove kept moving onward. She wondered how long it would be until she’d need to turn around or someone came after her. ”Lorcan!” She barked out again. Still no answer.

She pushed on as the afternoon soon became dusk. Piety was merely a figure moving across the land at this point. Her muddy eyes looking out with a hope that the healer would spring up from somewhere at any time. But there was no sign of him out here. Not a scent, print, or sight that let her know she was close. Without much of a warning, the earth opened up below her. All that was heard was her own loud yelp before she slid down the side. Her eyes closed tightly as she left a mark in the snow where she had slid into the crater. She didn’t know it but she was extremely lucky having not hit the sharp stones at the bottom.

The Santoro laid there too tired to move from her rush of excitement and fear. Maybe now Lorcan would appear and make everything better. He always had.

Hecate Liar
who's mans is this

"Fuck, shut up!" Hecate groaned under her fogged breath as she listened to the high-pitched howls and mewls for someone named Lorcan. She was particularly grumpy this morning due to a runaway hare. The little sucker was almost in her grasp before it banged a left and let Hecate's clumsy paws tangle, sending her soaring to the ground. Scoring the young lass a shiner right on her hip.

Hecate wasn't originally going to investigate the commotion, but her curiosity tripled as a thunderous "crunch" echoed through the woods. She could've sworn there was a yelp mixed in with the clatter, throwing her on high alert. Plowing through the snow to where she thought the noise had come from, she reached a glade. Her eyes adjusted to the new light in the clearing, only to find a GIANT FUCKING HOLE IN THE GROUND. The Liar's first reaction was to laugh, but then she realized how that might come off as slightly offensive to broad who was in there. "Uh.." She started, still fighting off the urge to cackle. "Yer ok down there?" She called down the cavern, making sure not to get too close as to fall in herself. She glanced around the clearing- where was this chick's man at?

Piety Santoro
That voice wasn't Lorcan. The words might have led her to even think it was Morganna but the scent wasn't hers. It wasn't anyone she was familiar with. "Yeah, thanks." Piety called out softly without bothering to look up to see who it was. With the sky getting darker there was likely no point in even looking up. She stayed still in her spot content to lay here and be buried under the snow until this female left or Lorcan appeared. The first seemed much more likely so far.

The Santoro didn't feel safe down here but it didn't seem like the stranger was content on coming down here. Maybe if she stayed still and refused to speak they would leave. She couldn't find Lorcan if she had someone breathing down her neck or chattering away. The pale female wondered where he could have run off to. Why didn't he tell her? Did someone else know? Should she have asked around before foolishly walking off into the tundra? Most likely. The Monadnock wolf was positive that Wraith would have accompanied her had she just asked. She hadn't, though. Which was why she was here in a pit with a stranger lingering above her.

Hecate Liar
Hecate strained her eyes in the dark, focusing on a medium sized body at the bottom. The girl didn't bother to look up and see who was there, seeming to be perfectly alright in the hole. I mean she said she was fine... Her subconscious concluded immediately. Unfortunately, Cate was trying to be a better person and all that hoity-toity bullshit. Silently, she groaned and threw her head back, mouthing something about how "God hates her" before cleaning her throat and making the steep shuffle down the cavern.

"Not that I'm good at givin' advice or notin'... but yer should probably get outta this hole." She suggested, letting out a short breath after every couple of words. Obviously, this chick was upset that her knight in shining armor didn't show up, but the best she was gonna get was an old hag's help. Hecate flashed a humorous smile, trying to lighten the situation. Her sensitive nose found a familiar scent on the girl's fur. Morganna, what a coincidence. Hopefully, this worker bee would take the news back to her queen- nothin' like stirring shit. Although the thought of that would be superbly gratifying, Hecate first had to get the girlie out of the hole. "Y'wanna walk up or do y'need me to pull you up?" She chuffed, not really giving her the voice for a third option.

Piety Santoro
She thought that her statement of being fine would have sent the strange woman off on her way but instead, she didn't leave. The stranger came down into the crater and offered two choices. Neither that seemed interesting. Why couldn't Piety just lay in this hole all day? Why did this stranger think she could just come around telling others that they needed to do something? The pale female huffed. If Lorcan wasn't going to show than she hoped that @Wraith would.

"I'll see myself out." Piety got to her paws and went in the opposite direction of the pale female and clambered back to the top. She made sure not to make the same mistake about falling into the crater again. The Monadnock wolf shook out her fur of the snow, not that it would matter much for the snow was still falling heavy from the dimming sky. Trying to still be polite Piety turned around to make sure the other woman would be alright. "Was it just my yelling and clumsiness that brought you over here? If so I'm sorry." The female dipped her head to top her apology. She didn't feel the need to explain herself more than that.

Hecate Liar
Through the dim light in the opening of the cavern, green orbs could've sworn the girl didn't have an ear. Not much of a scrapper. Hecate thought to herself, pondering what incident could have lead to the scarred over flesh. The peculiar woman made her way out of the cave and turned to see if she too had made it out. Hecate was still at the bottom, inspecting a few sharp rocks sticking up and pointing out. It was a miracle that the lady didn't get absolutely totaled on the jagged scraps. A voice chimed from above, apologizing for the inconvenience. Hecate let out a single gruff laugh, treading up the steep incline. "Little bit, s'alright though." She concluded, making effort to not sound quite as rude as the thoughts running through her head. Cate's eyes quickly scanned over the broad's shape in a proper light. There were two large scars running down the stranger's face along with the missing ear- the same event or separate? Hecate gave them a minuscule squint before asking a quick question. "Where y'from?" Hecate inquired cautiously. She was trying to put herself as far as possible from Morganna's reach- it would help if she knew exactly where she was occupied.

Wraith Kael

She was still gone. Upon Wraith's return from a patrol, @Piety was no longer slumbering peacefully beside @Morganna. The restraint it took to leave that morning felt a wasted effort midway through the morning when she was no where to be found. Surely she knew he would be coming back soon. Did she go out hunting for him in this snow? It was only a short patrol, for Fenrir's sake.

Frustrated that he worked through a potentially delightful morning, he grumbled under his breath. Upon asking, no one else seemed to know where she was either. In fact, there was another missing that left Wraith's hackles lifted with a dangerous possessive anger. @Lorcan. If that little shit had his nose up yet another female's tail, he was going to rip him a new asshole. It was different somehow, imagining him with Piety rather than Morganna. He couldn't describe it, but it was fucking different. When he found that bastard, not even @Craw could pull him off.

With a snap towards anyone who offered to join him in uncharacteristic fury, the black brute stormed off into the snow in search of his mate. A visit to Stone Edge Pool revealed no sign of her which only served to enrage him further. He didn't want to take the time to evaluate why he was so angry, but as he did, he knew it stemmed from fear.

Was she alright? Was she hurt? Was she with another? Was he another means to an end? Please let her not be harmed, he thought with a quick prayer. No matter what was keeping Piety, it would be alright so long as she wasn't hurt.

Though he could not see the sun above him with the thick clouds fat with snow, Wraith knew it was well into the afternoon by the time he heard voices. His tail lifted high as his lips lifted in a prepared snarl. Though this territory didn't technically belong to Craw and Morganna, the Second had grown used to chasing off any wolf in the general vicinity as the intention was to widen their territory at some point. As he drew closer, he realized they were both feminine voices and one belonged to his. Relief flooded him and made the brute dizzy, forcing him to pause and let out a breath.

"Piety." He said her name almost reverently as he approached. She looked healthy and whole. And better yet, Lorcan was no where in sight. Lucky for the lad. Without sparing the stranger a glance - Piety's posture said she was not a current threat, so he didn't worry about her for now - Wraith swept towards her with a rumbling growl of affection as he rubbed against her. Only once he had assured himself that she was truly safe did he allow his amber gaze to slide towards the stranger to assess her himself.

The brute offered a nod of greeting, but his eyes narrowed in scrutiny. What was a loner doing this far out in such weather? She should be bedded down somewhere. Normally, the Second would have offered her a place at the Monadnock at least temporarily, but his manners were still struggling to realign and take the place of his worry. The result left him more wary than welcoming. "Wraith Kael. I see you've met my mate." He stated it boldly as if the pair had been together for years. And damn if it didn't feel so right. As did her fur against his chin. He nuzzled the top of her head with it as he continued to stare at Hecate.

"Not much out here in this weather. You lost?"

Wraith doesn't recognize Hecate at the moment. Too busy being worried about his wifey.

Piety Santoro
Piety was content to split ways once she announced that it was alright. Good. They were both fine and good to go merrily on their different paths. Before the dove could fully dismiss herself the pale stranger asked a question. "A little bit east of here. The Monadnock. It's hard to miss." She snorted softly. Finally ready to leave until someone called out her name. Her head quickly whipped around and to no surprise it was Wraith. Her tail swayed submissively as he protectively moved to be close to her. She didn't stop him from examining her. Since she was clearly fine with perhaps a minor bruise hidden under her thick fur she left the fact that she had fallen a mystery.

She let Wraith do the talking if he pleased to. His words after his name caught her off-guard at first but she simply smiled and planted a kiss on his chin. Piety supposed it only seemed right that the word mate was somehow involved. Life was slowly developing inside her that was as much his as it was hers. The thought made her anxious and excited all at once. She would make sure to do things right this time around. With the loving but protective Wraith and strong Morganna by her side, she knew things would go well.

"We can point you the right way if you need to get going somewhere. Might be some nasty weather to get caught in if the snow doesn't lighten up." Piety allowed a faint smile tug at her lips as she pressed into Wraith. She already knew that she owed him an apology or two for daring to go after Lorcan in this snow. Surely he'd understand that she was concerned about their healer disappearing into the late winter without too much of a word. Hopefully he was just scouting and would return sooner rather than later.

Hecate Liar
NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE NAMED TRIXY love u trixy

The Monadnock. Interesting title and placement Morganna had chosen for her new pack. Storing this new information, she flashed a "thank you" smile, content with this little meeting. It was a peculiar sense of hate and homesickness that rolled over and down her shoulders. The Willows had been her home for almost a year, it was odd to feel unwelcome there. Not only that, the main line of Archer's had dispersed to make their own packs or to run off to god knows where.

Sensing another presence, Hecate lifted her head to focus on the new visitor. Well, not all that new. Obviously, Wraith didn't recognize her, skipping over that detail to pay attention to the girl. Wraith came closer, green eyes and white ears expecting him to open his mouth to mutter another ditsy name like "Trixy" or "Daffodil". But no, shockingly, it was even better. Hecate didn't laugh, but she couldn't restrain the cracked smile on her lips. No shit. Wraith introduced himself again and asked if she was lost, her ears barely hearing him over the sidesplitting thoughts running rampant in her head. Thank fucking god Piety spoke up again because there were currently, no words in her to answer. I mean, she was kind, trying to point out directions as if Hecate was the one who needed them. "Ah.. No, thank yer.. I have a few buddies waitin' fer me down south. Just, passin' through." She lied with an extremely convincing smile. It was time to leave now, she wasn't going to allow Wraith another chance to recognize her. "Y'two stay safe now.." She said and swiftly took her leave. With her back turned, she indulged herself in a demonic smile. Well, at least her and Wraith had something in common. They were both sloppy seconds.
