From the safety of a Willow's umbrella-shaped canopy, the dappled matriarch watched the rain pitter patter against the ground that had now become a mixture of mud and melted snow, a disheartening combination for any wolves out there that took pride in keeping their appearances clean. No such luck would be granted now that spring showers had begun to roll across Relic Lore, bringing with them the promise of new life and vibrant colors again to replace the monochrome world winter had forced them to endure for what felt like forever. Enjoying the winter months personally, even Enoki had grown tiresome of the snow and the troubles it typically brought.
Rising, the magpie gave her dampened fur a good shake to rid what excess droplets she could before excusing herself from under the makeshift shelter, deciding it was time to pay the newest member a visit and gauge how well or not so well they were adjusting to life among the willows. The pack was still small at best, but that was no excuse not to try and form some type of bond with the latest addition. Couldn't it be easy since he knew nothing of the pack's history and held an unbiased opinion right? Right. She mentally agreed with herself while ebony limbs prowled the territory for signs of the other, nose lowering when she crossed a fresh set of tracks in the mud that faintly held their owner's scent. Adjusting her paws accordingly, it wasn't long until a figure appeared in the distance which vaguely resembled the man she had accepted.
Releasing a sharp bark to grab their attention her paws picked up the pace, quickly closing the distance that lay between them. "Eskil." Enoki called out calmly, ivory dipped tail swaying contently at a half lifted position behind her rump.
