RE:Spring showers have come early, resulting in heavy downpours throughout parts of Relic Lore For @Rowan .Anywho, I was playin Fallout and this song came on. Good tune.
This was supposed to be a fresh start, a new beginning with her slate wiped clean. So why did she feel so miserable? As though she was the odd one out, a puzzle piece that didn't belong? Maybe this had been a bad idea. The food and shelter was nice and this old coyote's den was leagues better than what she'd been used to for the past few months. But despite her best efforts-or rather a lack of- she just couldn't work up the courage and instead hid from the others all day long until she thought it was safe.
They were giving her space, just like Wraith had promised, but by now shouldn't she be trying harder, doing better? Why was progress so slow? In fact, it didn't even feel as though she was getting anywhere at all. It was like she was running as fast as she could, giving it her all and yet she was stuck to the spot, like an old tree with long twisting roots.
The weather wasn't helping her mood either. Nor was it giving her any motivation to at least leave the den and say a quick hello to anyone who was loitering nearby. She knew that the pack had a pup, she could smell the lingering scent of Piety and her young one if she pressed her nose to the floor. She'd never actually seen him , but she'd heard him plenty. Lenae had always loved pups, or at least she loved the idea of them, seeing as she'd never had any younger siblings. Her parents had been the one litter and done sort. In hindsight, she regretted their choice, but quickly dismissed that thought.
She had no many regrets, it was best to not add anymore, lest the collective weight of them all crushed her.
Poking her snout out of the den, Lenae huffed a sigh. It was coming down as though the heavens had opened, as though the Gods above were crying over what they had lost. Well, she'd lost far more than they ever had and she wasn't crying. So they needed to clean up their act and promptly!
Slinking out into the rain, Lenae squinted up at the grey sky, only to have a spot of rain land in her eye.
"Oww!' She yelped and shook her head. This was not going well at all, maybe she should just go bad inside.
