Just a proper introduction thread for all the children <3
@Aideen @Cinaed @Enia @Adimar @Bero

The weeks had passed quickly, more quickly than ever before it seemed. The dark king had been splitting his time between the borders, his mate and their newborn pups, and making sure his older children stayed mostly out of trouble and helping out within the pack.

They were yearlings now, and on top of that, had new siblings to care for and take care of. However, they were siblings that they had barely seen. Now that they were a few weeks old, it was time to change that and properly introduce his younger sons to their older brother and sisters. As Miccah left the borders, and headed back towards Aideen's birthing den, he raised his head and called for his children's presence. Continuing his trek, the dark king made short work in arriving at the birthing den. He could already tell his pups this go around were a rambunctious pair, maybe even more so than his others. Chuckling slightly to himself at what acts awaited him in the future, the large man crooned softly as he entered the birthing den. He didnt want to risk waking his wife and children if they were asleep, hoping he had not caused it by his arrival.

Bero Aethsila
Even before a proper introduction to the world at large, Bero had made a few forays out into the pack territory. Being no more than a meatball on legs at this age, the child rarely made it far, and his enthusiasm meant he was anything but subtle – but the fact that the big dark wolf (dada, a concept he was coming to understand) was actually inviting them out into the open was met with great joy. He could go out! And with any luck, no one would pick him up by his scruff and carry him back to the den this time. It never mattered if he were to bellyache, be it small grumbles or shrieking as loud as his little lungs allowed, he always ended up in the same place eventually.

So Bero paddled out of the birthing den, stumbling over his brother and his mother’s tail in his eagerness to reach the light. Baby blue eyes shone brightly as he crooned back, brushing up against the man’s tall legs. His stumpy tail wiggled behind him fiercely (or rather, as fiercely as it was actually able) as he continued to twist around, having no desire to wait for anyone else to join them. It was time to play!

Adimar Athesila

For a while, the world around him had been dark, but his other senses were able to decipher life around him. He was able to feel the warm of mama, though he was yet to truly understand the concept of names, and the enjoyment of her milk. Adimar as a young fluff ball was able to hear the grumbles of his noisy twin as he tried to get closer to him. Now with his bright blue eyes open and his other senses heightened, the world was a whole new place. A place he wanted to explore and see more of as the den was beginning to become boring with same sights and smells.

His brother thought the same as he was normally caught by mother or father for venturing out too far and having to be carried back. But, today they were allowed to go outside for once. As soon as they were called, he scrambled after his brother as he trampled over him, leaving him in the dust for a moment as he tried to regain his balance. Waddling out towards the big dark wolf, his tail matching the eagerness and power of his twin brother, Adimar began to nip at his dark paws in an effort to initiate a game of play.

So sorry for the holdup <3 Will try and get Flair in here soon. (@Enia @Cinaed)

Though there were only two of them this time, her newest littler already seemed more of a pawful than the first. And with her rambunctious firepelt of a daughter, that was saying something. But the twins had been much more eager to explore the world, even when they were barely able to walk, and now that they were starting to be reasonably mobile, their mother barely had a moments rest. Soon she would need to enlist the rest of the packs help, beginning with the yearlings – Including that same daughter; Heaven help us! Hopefully caring for her younger brothers would help instill some responsibility in the girl. If not, at least their other siblings would help keep them on the straight and narrow. At least that was the solemn hope of the mother as she caught a brief respite in the afternoon heat, eyes flickering shut as her pups nursed contently.

As ever the peace didn’t last long, though what disturbed her this time was much more welcome than another attempted breakout. The soft beckon of her mate made a smile curve her lips, despite the tiredness weighing on her. Slowly she blinked it from her eyes, stretching her shoulders as best she could in the crammed space; There would be no tears once the boys were old enough to leave it behind for the main den. Said boys, apparently impervious to the very idea of fatigue, wasted no time in answering the call, leaving their mother behind to yawn herself fully into wakenness. She knew they would be safe under Miccah’s care, and took her time before following, secretly enjoying just that one moment of breath. Then she shuffled to her feet and followed the pups out into the sunlight.

A deep look and loving smile was all she exchanged with her husband, seeing no need for words. She’d absently noted his call earlier, and standing beside him now, their sons tussling at his feet, she knew exactly what he was planning. A small sigh of relief escaped her, looking down at the unruly twins, though there was anxiety mixed in it as well. She was excited for the yearlings to properly meet their new brothers, and would be grateful for their help in the future, she just hoped they would all get along.

Enia Athesila

Aside from the birth of her brothers, life in Secret Woodlands went on as normal. It was a relief but at the same time it took on a tone of boring. Enia would not complain, assuming it would only irritate her parents and knowing her mother did not need anything else to stress over. The woman spent so much time with Enia’s younger brothers and did not want to bother her. Nor did she want to bother her father, especially since he remained healthy ever since his scary bout with the chest cough.

Enia was resting when the call from her father roused her. Brown eyes blinked drowsily, head turning in the direction of the call. For all of us? The dark girl yawned before getting up on all fours and stretching. The youngest daughter did not want to keep her father waiting and made haste in the direction of his call.

Upon her arrival, light brown eyes were instantly drawn to the smaller forms of her brothers. A small smiled curved onto Enia’s lips. It was the first time she had the opportunity to see her two brothers out in the world instead of curled up in the birthing den. Enia’s voice was soft when she spoke, "Hello, little ones! I’m your big sister, Enia." The girl’s tail waved behind her in excitement. It felt uplifting to not be the youngest one anymore.

Flair Smoke-Athesila

Her father’s call was usually a bad sign, though today his tone was different than most; He sounded almost giddy. Never the less, Flair knew better than to ignore it, body moving almost by instinct to obey, winding its way through the thicket. She didn’t know what to expect, things had been so quiet lately, everyone busy with the new pups. Perhaps he wanted her to do more, ‘make an effort’, as Cináed would call it. But then why call all of them? Even her strict father was usually not one to deliberately discipline her in front of her siblings.

What she found once she made it the secluded area of the birthing den took her completely by surprise. Not only where both their parents there, awake and together for what seemed the first time in an eternity, but so were two small, tawny figures, bumbling about their father’s sturdy, dark legs. Flair paused, looking upon the scene with eyes wide in wonder. They were so tiny, walking shakily and looking around with blurry, blue eyes. So these were her brothers?

Enia wasted no time in introducing herself, lowering her muzzle and speaking softly. But the older sister had no idea how to act, she felt big and awkward, what if she scared them? Or hurt them? They’re so small..! Hesitantly, she took a few steps closer to the family, looking down at the pups with an apprehensive expression on her face. Finally, halting at her sister’s shoulder, she uttered dumbly: “Flair.” She had no idea what else to say, so she didn’t.

Cináed Athesila

Cin couldn’t help but grin as he was summoned by his father to the familiar area. They were summoned to the area he’d paced outside of just weeks before as his mother gave birth and his father helped her, anxious and excited to see who his little siblings would be… and he’d returned now. He’d been keeping his distance though he maintained a watchful eye over the surrounding areas, doing his best to keep them safe while also giving them the space they needed to adjust to the world just as Cináed and his sisters had gotten. He was the last to arrive, not surprising as he’d had a lot of distance to cover in order to get there.

He grinned at his two brothers, his eyes lighting up as he lowered his limbs, his nose twitching. His tail wagged slowly from side to side. “Hello.” He murmured softly, basking a little in the idea that he was not the only boy anymore… he had brothers to even out the estrogen that Flair and Enia put off… hopefully these two would be tamer like him and Enia, and not quite the stubborn and explosive wildfire that Flair always seemed to be. “I’m your big brother… Cin…”

Miccah Athesila

One by one, his older children arrived and each greeted their new siblings in their own way. His blue gaze warmed as he watched his older children gather together, for it seemed that it had been quite some time since it had been so. Cin had been distant lately, but had kept himself within the borders and making sure the pack was safe and protected. The dark king wondered if his son knew how much he appreciated that, especially since his attention recently had been so consumed by his newborn pups that he didnt do as many patrols as he once did.

Miccah's gaze turned to his daughters, and where Enia's greeting was soft, Flair's was blunt. His muzzle quirked slightly in a rare smile and Miccah finally turned his gaze downwards at his two young sons fumbling around his legs, eager to play. His growl was soft and playful as he bent downwards to nip at Adimar's ear and swipe at Bero's tail. For a split second, his gaze went to his wife and he nudged his muzzle with hers softly before turning his attention back on the children, happy to give her this small reprieve from their pups energy. Never one to draw out things, the dark king faced his older children again. "The larger one is Adimar, after my father - your grandfather. The other is Bero, after one of your mother's brothers." Introductions completed, Miccah's attention was drawn once again to the hooligans at his paws as he nudged them to encourage them to play with their older siblings.

Bero Aethsila
Bero needed no further suggestions – his twin, maybe, but the younger twin? Needing an excuse to go and play? Psshhht. He might have bumbled his way out of the natal den a little sooner, but all of the bigger wolves were making words. Names, he realized a bit slowly, like Ma and Da – but all three had more or less introduced themselves at once, and the majority of it all was lost on young Bero, because Da was talking now in his deep, rumbling voice. Ears strained forward and he glanced up, just in time to be set free – and that was all it took, really.

The youngest Athesila was off, bumbling into the great wide world, his stumpy tail wagging furiously as he pushed past his twin towards his new siblings. (Who really weren’t new at all, but that concept was all rather lost on the young boy.)

“‘lo! ‘lo ‘lo ‘lo!” he babbled happily, mimicking the greeting that Enia had offered them (to the best of his ability, anyways). Near as she was, it was the darker sister that he trundled to first, pushing his chunky body up against her legs as he rumbled happily, big, fat paws slapping against the ground. “‘lo ‘lo ‘lo!”
