Mismatched eyes spied on the white wolf from the cover of a fallen tree. She'd been watching this wolf as she hunted, hoping to pick up on some new moved to mimic when she was practicing later, so when they were finally allowed to join a hunt she wouldn't make a fool of herself. Now that the woman was done, it looked like she was taking a moment to clean herself up, and Lil smirked thinking that perhaps this one was more like @Lavendar than herself. Well, it might make her sister happy to have someone else around to hold up as an example of what Lilliana should be.

It was during a very short moment of distraction that the flash of black dooked forward, its snake like body supported by stubby little legs. Lil was so startled by the way it bobbed this way and that as it hopped forward that she didn't think to warn Ana until it had its jaws clamped firmly around her kill and began hopping away again, leaving a chorus of chitters and cheeps like laughter in its wake. "Yo that's not cool bro! Git back here man!" She called as she burst free from the undergrowth, "Stop playin' dawg! Stop playin'!" Who the hell ran around stealing other peoples dinner anyway?

Never in her life would she have thought to guard her food better than she had been so that tiny little thieves couldn't simply dance in and dance out with it in their mouths. Anastasia hadn't been paying attention and hadn't thought her kills to be that important or needed, so when she began to hear little chirps of madness her blue eyes darted to the culprit and then to the child that bounded after it.

In an instant she was bounding after the child and mink herself, though to be fair she wasn't going as fast as she ought to be but she was certain that the little cub could do it! Perhaps she could even get the kill as her prize but it only seemed fair to catch the slippery thing first!

With a few bounds and leaps she chased the mink around trees and over trees and rocks, prepared to corner the sucker so that they could retrieve what it had wrongfully taken!

She could hear the grown up moving behind her and it only made her set her jaw in a determined fashion. Surely she would have been told to stop by now if the slinky booper was meant to have it. It wasn't cool to go around stealing other people's food. Sure she might occasionally do it to Lavender, but that was different, they were siblings and she was just playin'. She always made sure her sister had enough to eat in the end.

For something so small the critter sure moved fast, her breath was already coming in short pants as her paws slapped the ground to try and head the slippery thing off. She hadn't yet thought to try and bite it, her focus for the moment entirely on making it drop the food it stole first. It wasn't until she noticed it making its way towards a hole under a tree that desperation kicked in and she snapped at the dark dooker. She probably should have used a little more force, her bite was enough to startle it into dropping what it had stolen but too late she realised it was to allow it to add its sharp little teeth to the needle like claws that were scratching at her face.

It latched itself onto the bridge of her muzzle, her sharp yelp sudden enough for the slinky body to escape her jaws, but now that it had a hold of her it didn't seem to plan on letting go. She was too startled to shake her head, instead, she looked on in cross-eyed horror as the beady eyed little beast seemed to smirk around her snout from its new perch upon her muzzle.

The newcomer had left the deer haunch at the communal den where he’d be sleeping for a while until he found himself a suitable den site within the pack lands. In fact that is what he was out doing now, looking for a little spect of land to call his own.

The sound of laughter drew him in, he smiled as he saw the young wolf and the mink, he once had a mink follow him for a over a week, he hadn’t minded sharing his meals as the little thief took it’s unfair share, truth was he had been so lonely he didn’t mind paying for the company.

As he drew closer his merriment and remeniscing turned to appall, the one thing he had learned durning that time was to never ever cross one of those things, they had the nastiest nettle teeth and a nastier temper. He leapt from the trees making a low yelping noise that mimicked the things dooking noise it had likely made earlier. Then he snipped the things tail once, twice then three times, Ferdie Von Pelt jumped back knowing the thing was likely to go after him for the insult to it’s tail, he was ready to dive back in and break the things neck if it didn’t let go of the girl this was it’s one and only chance.
Although Ferdie Von Pelt didn’t want to kill it for this was it’s nature; he also didn’t know what he’d do if it went after him.
