Meletē "Muses Synesthesia"
It was a relief to know that not all wolves stayed in one pack; at least she was not some sort of outrageous sinner. Why anyone would leave an existing pack, however, was beyond her. She had left her birth home only because of the war, and then Donnelaith because of a fire, and the subsequent death of her close friend and alpha. It had been too much for her to bear, so she had simply run away.

Pulled back to reality by Kyna's question, she blinked slowly, and then nodded an affirmation. "Yes, the one at the lake, Fallen Tree Cove." The two packs were so close that she was surprised they had not met yet. In fact, they were close enough to form an alliance, which was something she had adored about her previous pack. It made her feel as if she belonged to one massive family once again. She had half a mind to ask about their lack of communication, but the rusty furred wolf quickly offered an explanation.

Her eyebrows shot up in surprise, eyes growing large. "Oh!" She was effectively floored by the information provided. Why, her companion could hardly be much older than herself! Muses thought that, at the very least, she would still have another year to go before she was considered grown enough to have pups of her own. Even then, she was quite at a loss as to what to do to achieve such a thing. for she was still under the impression that she would have to be assigned a mate.

Having apparently shorted her brain, Muses stared, dumbfounded for a moment, before finally finding her tongue. "We have a puppy in the cove as well!" She blurted out, unable to think of anything more appropriate to say. "Perhaps you'd be willing to allow your daughter to meet him, some time. He's the only one, and I can only imagine he must be rather lonely." Muses, with her eleven other full-blood sisters (never mind the dozens upon dozens of half siblings she had), could not imagine what it might be like to be the only child within an entire pack.
