Garmir Ghostpaw
Quote:OOC: Tired post is tired post. @Eurus
Halloween Event: You come across a mysterious blood stain near your denning area, but don't remember making a kill there.

This place felt wrong. Garmir was not particularly superstitious nor did he awknowledge any ghosts, but walking on this corpse littered ground gave him bad chills. It helped little that he happen to stumble upon this eerie place in a middle of cold autumn night with thick fog holding the forest hostage and only adding more effect to this ghostly atmosphere. This was a graveyard of some sort, that much was apparent from how bones littered the ground nearly everywhere where he looked. Little did he know about the history of this site, or the significance it may have once had - on who's grave he was passing by.

This place was wrong. Garmir remained more alert than usual, even if he conciously tried to tell himself there was nothing to be worried about. Fear was weakness that he was no longer supposed to feel, but tonight tiny bit of worry creeped at the back of his mind, no amount of conditioning or brainwashing able to suppress that. As he continued forth, he soon became upon long since deceased corpse of an wolf. It was possibly years old, nothing but the frame made of white, clean bones and tiny bits of skin still covering parts of it. Somehow seeing a dead wolf rose bit of an emotional response deep inside Garmir, perhaps the sight reminding him of his own mortality, but it was not the corpse that was so intriquing about it...

Something was wrong. Garmir tilted his head slightly as he stared at the bones, particularly the skull which oddly had a red paw print on its forehead. It was wolf's paw mark and more interestingly, the mark was fresh. He wasn't imagining this. He could still smell the blood. Now this was so odd it made Garmir's hackles rise as he tried to find explanation to this. There was no kill or other notable bloodstains to be found. Simply bloody paw mark on skull. "What game is this..." -he murmured, his hackles rising involuntarily.

Mature Warning because it's Eurus, and I never know quite what she's going to do. A little bit of unnecessary gore, a little bit of spoop. Just in case.

Eurus

She had roots here, particularly in the Cors Ossum. Of course she knew the words, it had been so long since she had uttered the tongue of her grandfather but they all knew the words to some extent. So when a stranger came strolling across such hallowed ground, the golden girl couldn't help but have a little fun. To make sure word spread that this part of the forest was not a place to idly loiter lest some great beast decided to drag you down to hell with it.

Not all animals were smart enough to stay away. A rat wasn't much of a meal, but it would serve its purpose on this fog riddled night. She didn't know if these bones belonged to her grandfather (they didn't, he was buried by her aunt years ago), but the lupine corpse was impossible to resist, her blood soaked paw gently resting against the skull long enough to leave a mark before she allowed the fog to swallow her up again.

The steps were getting closer.

An amused smirk crossed her face, though the gesture never quite met her eyes, and she decided to make this real fun. With a child like giggle she began to softly sing "Caro mea dulcis est, pellis mea mollis est." Her ears were turned towards the stranger, her feet silently moving across the ground to remain concealed by the fog. "Domus mea silva est, lectus meus durus est." She continued her taunting tune, wondering if he would be able to decipher her song, or if he was just as dull as the rest of them.

Garmir Ghostpaw

As Garmir was inspecting the strange bloody paw mark on the skull beneath him, the scene around him turned even creepier as Eurus played her song. Those words were foreing to him, but Garmir did not like the tune in which they were sang, nor did he enjoy that childish giggle which he had heard before the words. His hackles were already standing, but now his fur stood on edge and adrenaline begin to pour through his veins, a tingling feeling like something was pressing against your chest going through him. He snarled, ears dropping flat against his skull as he listened and tried to gaze into the mist to find whoever was doing this. He was afraid and he felt ashamed to be so. Fear was weakness, something he was not supposed to feel anymore.

Even as reason told him someone was playing prank on him, Garmir saw ghosts and demons in the fog, his imagination drawing silouettes of different characters into the fog. One of them was real, but Eurus kept enough distance from him to ensure Garmir never saw enough of her to be able to tell.

"Show yourself or begone!" -He demanded with a growl - albeit convincing - fear evident in his voice. He tried to turn towards the sound and keep himself orientainted towards it, but the trees and her voice bouncing off from them - as well as the fog was confusing his senses. Added with his imagination, Garmir wasn't even sure if there were one or many beings stalking him in the mist..

So demanding. Well she could play that game too, her voice rougher and deeper as she threw an order of her own. "Tace!" She wasn't finished yet and couldn't resist just one more giggle and one more verse, her voice taking on a more gravelly tone as her patience ebbed away "Flevit lepus parvulus, clamans altis vocibus." Then she stood still just long enough for the fog to part between them, her companion looking over his shoulder and away from the fleet footed yearling. Her head rose boldly, "Adsum?" The word was uttered with the intonation of a question, So what do you want?

MATURE WARNING - language!

Garmir's patience for games was reaching its end. He could not understand those words chanted at him and for all he knew, they could have been curses thrown at him. He kept turning around, trying to spot whom was stalking him within the misty forest but it was not until Eurus stood still and waited for fog to give away that he could even tell. As his eyes fixed on a character that did not evaporate in buff of smoke like rest of his imaginary monsters, Garmir turned to face it and then took steps forward, not wanting to loose sight of her. From way he was approaching - with his fur bristling and weapons bared, it was uncertain if he was going to attack Eurus. If anything, the earthen male was pissed, fear rapidly surrendering to his anger now that he was starting to realize how much of a fool someone had made of him.

Garmir had to repeat himself the honor code he had adopted just not to let himself loose upon her. Fighting females was purely for self defence or in defence of the pack and never should he land first blow. While he could not outright physically harm her, he could still be as rude as he wanted and thus his choice of words; "That was really funny. Do you understand common tongue or is that vomit which just came from your mouth all you can say?" -He growled, spitting his poison as he kept approaching.

"Tell me why I should not just fuck you up? See if you are still giggling then."

Lacking the adrenalin that coursed through her counterparts veins she almost seemed bored when she blinked blankly and uttered a single sharp word, "Cave." His posturing might have struck fear into the hearts of some, but it wasn't a feeling that Eurus was familiar with, just like all the rest of them. She was fascinated by fleeting expressions, and perhaps it was envy that drove her to do the things she did. She always only felt like a distant observer, even in her own skin. It was only in the final moments of someone else's eyes, when the realisation struck and they accepted their fate that she even came close to fathoming just how full a life could be.

Her eyes narrowed to see what he might think of her taunting him more, taking a lazy step forward, her tail hanging between her hocks, neither dominant or submissive, nor aggressive or fearful. Just... flat, bored. "Of course I speak common, I just had hopes that maybe you were more than the rest of them."

OOC: phone post bad post. I'll add table later.
Mature warning for Language again.

---

Her indifference towards Garmir's threats was baffling to this young male, even imminent threat of violence not rising any obvious response and for the brief moment when she begin to approach him in turn - far more casually - Garmir missed a step as he tried to read this strange female and her body language. He was absolutely bristling and seething with rage, her failure to recognize him as a danger further peeling away his patience. He so very much wanted to just lunge at her and give her proper, violent shaking she deserved but alas, she was female.

If Eurus was jealous for Garmir having range of emotions, he too would have envied her lack of fear - had he known. Fear was the enemy and all his life Garmir had been trained to suppress it. The fact that Eurus had made Garmir afraid - even if briefly - was great insult to his dignity and self worth.

"More than rest of them? You little buttface have no idea who I am and you should take me more seriously If you wish to survive this night without lasting injuries" -He rumbled in anger, literally shaking from effort to keep himself at bay. He kept approaching and If she did not move aside the very next moment, their muzzles would meet with Garmir's fangs bared for her. She is female. Wait for her to strike first - he kept telling himself.

Normally by now anyone else would have lashed out, though her experiences were limited to family, thanks to their own concerns, and a handful of other wolves that either met their demise too soon or had gone on their way. It would seem though, that he was wounded by her words, anger blazing in his eyes as he stepped closer, threatening her with harm, how original. She wondered if she'd feel any pain.

But he stopped just short and as his muzzle met hers she tipped her head down in a gesture that was meant to bring her forehead against his so she could really look him in the eye, hoping that by being so close she might actually be able to see what made him tick... and then she smiled that smile that never reached her eyes and she giggled.

OOC:
Mature warning: Violence, Language
- Light powerplay as agreed prior with Becuff ^^

This bitch really had nerves and Garmir could not really tell was it confidence or stupidity that made her defy him in ways she did. More unsettling was way she reacted to his threats - or rather how little she did in this case, Garmir unable to detect any visible emotions in her gaze as they neared one another. There wasn't even a flinch...

She did not step aside or back off, but rather met him nose to nose and then forehead to forehead, the enraged male engaging her in staredown that was going to escalate into violence any second now. Just as she was trying to understand the emotions that currently whirled inside Garmir's head, he was trying to see anything at all in her eyes to figure out what was so wrong with her. She was steadily eating away his confidence and as his fortitude crumbled, he only grew more enraged. Garmir was seething, bristling, shaking as he snarled like demon possessed beast set to kill her. His pupils became smaller as adrenaline rushed in his blood. The ground beneath their paws vibrated with his rumbling growl and his mouth was frothing as he held his weapons fully exposed. And how did she respond to this? She giggled.

Rage filled Garmir like erupting volcano, kind of rage that completely overtook reason and dictated his actions before he could even process them. Like a lightning strike, he struck her that very instant with his jaws going around her muzzle as twisted her head towards the ground. He even blinked himself as he realized how fast it happen, only noticing after he had done it that he was biting her. That very moment he realized how she had made him break his own code and even when anger was still filling his mind - he also felt shame and guilt. Garmir's ears went flat and he eased his hold on her, but still refused to let go...
