(M for nightmare, though I'm not good at scary stuff. It's just a precautionary incase anyone might find it upsetting.

For @Solas <3

Early morning 3-3-2018 )

Tulip had grown intolerant of the smell that reeked the main den and had used some furs she had either scavenged or collected from the caches to create a bed near the lake. It lay beneath the trunk of a tall tree, part of the roots reaching over the ground to make a loop just big enough for her. It was snug, but the girl liked it. There was were she would curl tightly into a ball and deal with a chilly nights. It didn't call for very good sleep though, and Tulip missed the company of @Moonshadow in the den. Not enough to deal with all th stinky females in the pack, clearly, but enough to long for her ebony leader.

For once sleep had met the girl willingly, surrounding her with a deep dark pleasantness. Her dreams were warm and cheery, reflecting on her new life. Throughout the night she staid relatively peaceful within these lucid visions, but as morning slowly approached the girl begun to toss and turn. Her paws would shuffle, a little whine here and there.

The dark warm den engulfed them, the light of the moon filtering in. The space between the two was small but welcoming, their heads pressed together. "I'm sorry His words hit her ears with a wave of relief, he didn't hate her. "But...I left you."The girl's words were crystal clear within her dreams. "You thought I was dead for the longest time, then when you found out I wasn't...I could have been nicer." The low deeper voice of her brother was familiar and comforting, "I'll always forgive you Koda." She whispered, moving into hug him. She failed though.

A larger white form appeared, teeth ripping into Koda's fur and yanking him down to the ground with a thud. Grevious began dragging the male from the den, the screams of Koda flooding her ears. "Stop! Stop!" She pleaded following in hot pursuit.

It was if her words had hit deaf ears, the white beast ripping into whatever he could grab furthermore, blood splattering his scared face. The smaller wolf fought back to the best of his abilities, but it was pointless. Grevious soon found purchase and quickly sunk his teeth into the male's neck and with a mighty shake came a snap.

"LAKODA!!!" The girl awoke with a scream, panting heavily, lemon eyes wide awake.

He was up early again. The stormy male was getting up earlier now than he normally did. The scent coming from the females was making him restless and sleep elusive. He was almost thinking about sleeping somewhere else so that he could get a good nights rest and be able to wake up without feeling tired. The other option was to burn himself out during the day with hunting and making sure that no other males tried to slip past the borders.

Lazily he stretched near the lake. The sun was almost up but not quite and he had just gotten his drink so he was ready to see what he could find to bring back to the caches. If luck was on his side he would be able to grab a rabbit or something similar. He was getting better at hunting, he mused, as he padded along the edge of the lake.

All thoughts of hunting stopped as a scream rent the air. Solas froze midstep before he took off racing. That scream hadn't been good and it sounded like it had come from Tulip. Shit. A growl rumbled in his chest as he ran. Had someone slipped past the borders? If that was the case he was going to tear into them gladly.

Tulip's scent got closer and though he could smell her he couldn't smell anyone else but that didn't stop him from looking. In fact, he couldn't see Tulip either. Head low Solas followed her scent to a tree where he could see her small form nestled between its roots. He glanced at her aware that he wouldn't be able to get to her even if he tried. Her chosen spot was way too small for him to get into to. He also didn't smell any blood but he could tell that she was scared her yellow eyes wide.

Tulip? He questioned voice tense. You alright? He was still hyped on adrenaline and on edge. What had caused her scream so? Worry and tension were etched on his face as he watched her from the entrance to her den.

The girl stared forward into the darkness, feeling as if it'd swallow her whole if the sun did not come out soon. She was on edge, hackles raised, lips twitching from the intense waves of emotions. She felt so alone at that moment. Everything was surreal, the girl stumbled to her paws but slumped down again in shock. Lakoda was dead? It was too real. The yearling was confused and disoriented as tears started to blur her vision. She stumbled out of her den at the approaching paw steps her fur slicked back in a heavy sweat. Shakily her tail stood high and on guard, lips pulled back to reveal sharp canines. A male approached with what seemed to be concern, but the jet black wolf was still disoriented to some degree.

At first Solas was unfamiliar within the darkness, but his scent and voice slowly calmed the girl. The familiarity smoothed the fur down her spine, lips almost lifelessly dropping to hide her pearly whites. Lemon eyes slowly looked up to meet Golden, to stare into his expressive pools of honey. The girl's lids were still lined with tears and she did not move at first, only looking at him. No, she wasn't all right. Koda was dead...or was he? Her Lakoda. Solas stood there, he looked so worried and upset, she watched him looking around her she. The yearling was not sure of what he was looking for. She was standing right here, in front of him.

The girl eventually shook her head tensely, gaze falling to look at the ground in defeat. Was that a nightmare? Tulip wasn't sure...it had been too realistic for her to tell reality from dream. Whining she looked back up at the Coldheart with a deep frown. Her tail curled between her legs more out of fear and humiliation than submission, "'m sorry." She didn't mean to worry him so much, ears drooping to the side of her cranium meekly. The tiny girl longed to approach him and try to find comfort, but she felt frozen. Her limbs were heavy, seemingly stuck into the snow. Fear still griped her, not to mention...their last encounter.

Tulip has a speech impairment that causes her to talk with a severe lisp and has selective mutism. I will not be writing her words to reflect this (outside of going mute), but ask those who roleplay with her to understand it's implied.

She had bared her fangs at him and Solas couldn't help but wonder if she was going to attack him. With the fear that was radiating from her he wouldn't put it past her and so he kept his distance even as he talked to her. The stormy male didn't want to have to deal with any wounds this season and though she might attack him he wasn't about to return the favor. His concern over that seemed unneeded as she slowly calmed, her fur smoothing down. He continued to watch her and his eyes narrowed as he saw the tears. What the heck had happened to make her scream and cry? Obviously nothing physical so maybe a dream or something?

Solas's ears pricked forward at her whine and he had the urge to drag her from her hole so that he could figure out what was wrong. She apologized then and a frustrated growl echoed up his throat. Her tail was drawn up between her legs and with that, he had enough. Backing up he growled. Tulip get out of that hole. If she hesitated he would meet her gaze and growl again. I'm going to dig you out if you don't.

Sitting back on his haunches he watched to see if she was going to come out or not. If she didn't he was going to darn well follow through with his plan of digging her out, regardless of what she wanted. Something had scared her and wanted to know what but he wasn't going to let her stay in the hole that smelled of her own terror. Maybe if she got mad at him that would help. It had seemed easy enough to make her mad at him. He could try and do it again if that's what it took.

OCC: Crap post, sorry)

Lemon eyes widened at his growl and she whimpered in response, pulling her small frame backwards. She didn't understand his reasoning for such menacing sounds. Was he truly mad with her? She whined again at him, small frame shaking and cowering within her little 'nest'. The last thing she wanted right now was for Solas to be upset with her. The girl sniffled, a few tears streaking down dark fluffy cheeks. The man stepped backwards, confusing her, then growled again. She wasn't sure how to take all of this in or how she should react at this point.

Tulip get out of that hole.

It really wasn't that much of a hole, was it? More of a tight space with a large protective root wrapping around her animals pelts. It was the right size for the yearling to curl up alone within the dark. Apparently he wasn't done speaking, words drawing her back in, observant orbs no longer darting about her den. She was sitting upright now, short legs sprawled in front of her at an angle and pulling the furs beneath her apart. Tulip was content to remain among her roots, an untrusting glance cast to their surroundings. She knew well that the wolf could not fit within her den, but that didn't stop her from trying to get him to go to her.

"'Olas to Tulip," her voice was a feeble command, shaky and nervous. She motioned with her muzzle for him to come closer, she herself edging to the entrance of her sanctuary.

OOC: Sorry for the late response and you're fine. ^^

His growls seemed to make it worse as she drew back from him and the entrance to her makeshift den. That was not what he wanted but he couldn't exactly hide his frustration. Tears streamed down her face and a frown tugged his lips down. She was crying? Was it from him or leftover from what had made her scream earlier? He resisted the urge to growl again so that he didn't scare her more. But he felt a little useless outside her den and unable to reach her.

At his words, she eyed the outside her gaze easy to read. She didn't want to go out. She wanted to stay in her hole. His eyes narrowed as he waited for her response or just for her to simply stay where she was. Her voice called to him then a thin shaky command that he go to her. The entrance to her hole was too small for him so with a sharp nod he stood and began to work on making it bigger. Paws scraped at the still frozen ground moving chunks behind him as he began to dig. It took a bit of time but he was determined to make it big enough so that he could at least reach her.

Once he had the entrance big enough he slipped his upper half inside, crawling a bit so that he could butt his head lightly against her shoulder. His bottom half remained outside the den as he lay down so that they weren't both so crowded. He had reached her though and that was what was important. Now he could start to calm down a bit if the close scent of her didn't rile him up.

I thought someone had slipped past our borders and was hurting you. He grumbled closing his eyes. And I was full and ready to rip their throats out. A soft sigh slipped past his lips as he let his head rest between her spread paws. It wasn't an idle statement either and he hoped that she knew that. He would have done it for anyone in the Cove but somehow she was a bit more special. Maybe it was because she was the only one who had made him laugh?

Opening his eyes again he looked up at her. Now are you going to tell me what's wrong?

(It's okay <3 Sorry if this is short)

The tiny wolf had not expected him to dig at her den, but what had she expected? She winced, squeezing eyes shut and turning her head away until he finished. She wasn't quite sure why it bothered her so, but the noise and movements were overwhelming. She couldn't watchin him work away at her little home.

Lemon eyes gazed to the top of his crown as he connected with her shoulder, her face momentarily stoic. The silence that crept around them quickly became suffocating. She needed words, she couldn't handle it. She needed to hear him. Not Ka, not Moon, but @Solas. Tulip looked at him pleadingly, hoping, waiting. However, his words were entirely unexpected. A small wave of shock crashed upon the girl. Why did he care so much? Then again, why did any of the Cove wolves? She could feel a warmth within her chest, the unfamiliar sensation warming her body. She had no words for it, but it was not held to just Solas, but...her family? They Cove was becoming more than just a pack to the girl.

In the same manner Solas was more than just some wolf she shared leaders with. The male rested his head on the pelts beneath her, the small girl melting into him at that moment. She curled herself around him, paws finding their way beneath his neck while her head rested upon his shoulders. She did not stay liked this long, soon shuffling to try and get her head underneath his neck, her small frame shuddering with anxiety. "Need you." She whispered, lost in her own whirlwind of emotions. "I...I no sure. Lakoda okay? Lakoda dead? You here...so dream?" The girl looked to him with confusion before burying her head in his scruff with a whimper. "Need you" She whispered again trying to crawl closer to him. Her heartbeat raced, the close vicinity of the male slowly drawing her from her daze. The realness of their closeness, the electricity that moved through her at his touch. Tulip did not think long on how he made her feel, Lakoda was of importance right now.

As he reached her she didn't say anything. His head bumped against her shoulder the contact comforting, to him at least. His gave looked to her and she seemed to be waiting for him to say something. So he said the truth. He thought someone had been hurting her. That someone had come and was attacking her. The thought did not make him happy even though he knew that she was okay now he still felt a bit tense. A part of him still watching for the thing that had scared her so bad.

Solas rested his head on the furs that she had placed on the gorund and it seemed that it was the cue for her to move. Tulips small frame pushed against him as her paws worked underneath his neck. Her head going to rest on his shoulders. The position felt quite comfortable to him at least. It would have been better if he could have gone completely into the den but it was better this way. Her scent was in nose and she was so close. It made him very aware of how she pressed against him. Which also meant that he could feel the way she trembled and how she still seemed to be scared. She moved again this time to push her head under his neck and Solas silently moved so that she could get into the position that liked before settling down again.

Need you.

The words made him freeze as his eyes widened a bit. Need him? What was he supposed to say to that? No one had needed him before and well he had no idea what to do with it. He kept his mouth shut as she continued to speak mentioning a 'Lakoda', whoever that was. She didn't know if he was dead or alive and that she wasn't sure if it had been a dream or not because he was there. It was a dream, or more likely a nightmare. He responded as she looked to him obviously confused. If it had made her scream like she had it had probably been a nightmare. Was it bad that it relieved him that there wasn't someone here trying to hurt her?

She whispered the two words again that made him feel so confused. I'm here. He mumbled back softly. Solas still didn't know why she needed him of all wolves. Wouldn't Kajika or even Moon be a better option to help her? They seemed to be better at this stuff than him. But Tulip had said that she needed him. Not Kajika. Not Moon. Him. Which even though it confused him it also made him feel a bit happy.

Who's Lakoda?

Tulip DayHeart
(It's okay...I'm really struggling with muse rn.)

Tulip's heart beat against her chest, the thumping beat echoing in her ears. A strange warmth filled her, belly churning, but not unpleasantly so. She was undeniably nervous, but at the same time wanted to get closer to him. She wanted to feel his large frame curl around her, their furs mingling. *Such strange thoughts* Tulip peered into his eyes, not challengingly so, but something different that the girl wasn't sure of. She felt almost lost in his deep handsome golden orbs. He was comforting and safe, but not in the same was as their alphas. He made her feel emotions she was not familiar with and warmed her from the inside. Her heart thudded so loudly when near him, and she did not understand in the littlest way.

A nightmare. Tulip nodded silently in agreement, remaining silent as she twisted about in attempt to get comfortable. She couldn't help it, she was getting a little itchy. The girl whined softly and licked under the man's chin before resting her head down momentarily. I'm here. Her heart fluttered, the girl wrapping her head around his neck in attempt of embracing him. She sniffled a little, emotions still on rampage.

Who was Lokada? Well, he was...her brother? But not her brother. For some reason the question made her unsettled and she found herself grooming the fur along Solas's neck before pressing her head into him. "Bruda...no bruda, yet bruda." Tulip felt frustrated in not being able to communicate with her dark companion properly. She wanted him to know that Koda was only her brother, nothing more. She didn't fully understand it, but she had to make sure he knew that. Yet...Koda was not related to her. Tulip didn't even fully understand it herself but Lakoda and Maria were the closest thing she had ever had to family.

Tulip shuffled about to face him, ears pressed forward, another whine escaping her dark lips. Her small tail thumped quietly behind her, the girl reaching her head out to press against his cheek. She lingered for a moment before pulling back and staring into his eye's again. Tulip started to move in, as if she'd press her nose to his, but a nervous sensation washed over her. Instead she was mere centimeters from him, eyes locked. Warmth rushed to her cheeks, the girl breaking eye contact sheepishly, but not moving away from him.
