The smile faded though as he approached the dark gloom of the communal den, pale brows quickly pinching together in concern. He was there to check up on @Daesamar, see how he was doing now that he had the sweetgrass to help him through his illness. Stepping into the shade of the den, golden eyes blinked a few times before he scanned around in the darkness for the familiar shape of the large male. No doubt he would likely be with or near @Anaeia, who he had also instructed to rest up. He released a low bark, his voice echoing against the stone walls as he called out for the boy.

Lorcán Artemieva
Lorcan knew he had been lucky in finding the sweetgrass when he had travelled north. A part him had expected not to come across any, especially after the snow and cold weather had lingered so long into spring. The healer had also not expected to come across his brother, Laike. It had certainly been nice to reunite with him after so many months and it was funny how things had turned out for them both. Both of them were leading packs, both of them now had mates and both of them were expecting pups. A smile tugged at his charcoal lips at the thought of more nieces and nephews running around the Lore.

The large wolf had been shifting and squirming around in a restless sleep. Coughing and hacking had filled most of the youth’s time inside the den as he tried to recover. The Sweetgrass that Lorcan had fetched had helped alleviate a cough and soreness in his throat for a while. It had given him some relief, but now, he started to feel like he had in the beginning, constantly tired, sore and an odd mix of hungry, but when he tried to eat, his appetite disappeared quickly. The remains of a half-eaten hare rested at his paws in evidence.
He awoke, coughing, and looking around, he saw the now very familiar dimness of the den to greet him. His mouth opened as he yawned thirdly, sniffling and sneezing, dislodging a thick blob of mucus that had caked onto his muzzle right front of him, right onto what he had thought was a smooth rock, the blurriness of sleep soon faded as he blinked, a goofy tired grin on his face. He had felt like crap, but he woke up, something to smile about. He looked again at the rock, realizing that it had fur.
