Midday, Broken clouds 16C/60F

They were back, the lowlands flat rolling surface stretched out in front of them, long grass sprouting from the ground. His mitched matched gaze swept over the land. It was odd being back, why were they back? They had just been wandering with her, surviving, living a life which was more than just rolling on their back as lowest. She helped them free, she was strong, stronger than them. And strength was important, the ghost new as much, and they were learning, growing and becoming more.

So why were they back?

Why had they come back to were they been so weak, why come back to old paths. And yet had they not come back before, come crawling back. Perhaps it was just how Fenrir saw the path in front of the ghost.  The god was not one whos way's they would try to decipher or understand. They simply live, stang and be strong. One way or the other. Black lips would part, a deep breath takes in the scents around them. The pond in front of them almost round to perfection. The early summer had chased away the cold months, spring had passed and brought memories with it. Memories they did not want they knew it was lost. A snort, irritation growing in their fur as they shook themselves. Gaze seeking the woman, she was strength, she was the one wolf whom he could not fail. For the simple reason, there were no promises between them. At least none had been spoken.

She was no king, nor queen. She was not a piece on the board, not a pice to be plaid in the great game. After all the kings had fallen, the ghost was no longer a pawn to black or white.

Kaela had wandered ever north, following the winter. But soon, as it always did, her cold goddess left her for the year. She then steered them south, seeking something she did not know.

The wraith had grown accustomed to her new companion, teaching him and shaping him into a man that she could tell on - to a point. She would always be independent, but this was a new kind of bond. Was it friendship? She didn't know the word.

Still, this was a man who could never disappoint her. Though she would never admit it, she had a kind of faith in him. She'd offered him freedom, and had not lost her own. It was... Strange.

Now she wanted to test his new strength. He was not the man who submitted easily anymore. As they returned to familiar land, blue eyes turned to her companion. "How would you like the chance to prove to those who tried to subdue you that you can not be vanquished?"

Her words were met with a slight surprise glance from their own good eyes, brown orb watching her as if thinking over her words. To prove themselves? Did they need to prove it? did they wanna prove it? Breaking up old wounds usually did them no good, they learned that by now. A twitch of their tail as they turned to watch the lowlands again. Yet they were curies, what did she mean? What did she have in mind? Keale had been their rock, in a way. She helped them climb out of the hole, helped them grow stronger. Even IT seemed to have lessened its hateful grip. At least a bit. Poor wolf, scared of the past? voices in their head caused lips to pull in a silent snarl for a moment before smoothing over. They weren't scared, not anymore.

Mismatched gaze turning to the women, brown orb focused on her as the over glazed white stared ever unfocused. "What you got in mind?" he asked black lips neutral in expression, wondering what she had in mind. Wondering what she wanted to do, and if they could follow. The lore was part of their past, part of the black hole they finally managed to pull out of. But a newfound curiosity for the way she worked, the way she thought and acted brought them to wonder. brought them to want to know what she had in mind.

And what did they have to lose? There was no king to fail, no rules to stumble over. No one to disappoint. No home to return to and no wolf to look for. Just them, It, and their mind. So what did she have in mind? What chaos did she wanna make?

There is a deer carcass being picked over by three coyotes. They spot you and become territorial of their kill.

It took the man a moment to reply; it always did. She liked that about him; never too loud, never too quiet. He was a good companion, odd as the concept was to her.

Her tail swished slight and a small smile graced her maw. "Let's raise hell," she said, a hint of crazy creeping int her voice.

That's when the scent hit her nose. Her fur prickled as her gaze searched for them. She could hear their growls even as one built in her own throat. There were three of them, protecting their meal. She wasn't particularly hungry or eager to fight them. She was always making trouble, but protective coyotes was not something she cared to face.

She waited for their reply, seeming patent with them. And at their answer she changed, at least they saw the subtle changes, the small smile, the movement of her tail and the tone to her voice. They spent enough time wither her to know, and they could not help but grin slightly. "Sounds good" they rumble, if she wanted hell they could surely rais it. But then she changed, a stench swept through the wind and canine growls reach their ears.

A flinch of their ears as the lowered their head to defend their throat, the tree vermin catching their eye.

Three of them, defending a meal. The ghosts jaws would part in a smile as a long rumbel of a growl seept from their lips. Slowly they move forth, legs bending and change motion to stedy them and ground thier balnce. Their tail flaged out behind  them but did not rise in dominance, they ghost did not need dominace. "Three aginst two, what good odds" they rumbel not looking back at the women, instead they snarled teeth flashing at the vermin.  They hadn't enged them jet, and despite wanring growls and snarls the ghost stood their ground. Waiting for her to join in or leave, they follow her ofcurse. They been following her since they left the lore, at winters call, and followed her back with summers rise.

Ooc: I don't get notifications so that is good

Kaela was mildly surprised when Zilas moved forward to challenge the coyotes. He had grown a lot during the few months they'd been gone, changing from the timid man to a worthy partner in crime.

Kaela was usually down to fight, though two of them against three enemies with a meal to defend gave her pause. Still, if Zilas wanted to try his teeth...

She backed him up, pointing her ears forward and joining her snarl with his. This was what partners did right?

@Kaela sorry for the wait... hope the post is okay not really sure how to handel the coyotes to be honest

The Ghost felt a surge of something as she moved to stand beside them. It was odd, less then a year ago they had coward beneath every one elles. And they done it without trying to rip themselves free, she had pulled them free she been the one to snap their chains. She had been the one to break them fully. For broken they were, broken to the core. A core which was as dark as his father had perhaps hoped for.

NO

They would not think of the past, they left it behind. The kings were dead burning in their castles, they were no paws anymore. They would not look for freedom in the chains of kings. Anger boiled in their blood, as they moved forth, head lowering and stance steading them as they challenged to vermins. The need an outlet, need to get rid of this feeling.

The ghost brawls forth, aiming to try and get a grip of the first and best coyote. And teeth meets flesh the taste of iron strong in their mouth. The first coyote is stuck between their jaws, a strong grip on its upper body as its fangs rip through the flesh of his shoulder and lower neck. They growled through the fur and flesh in their mouth. Not having any intention of letting it go, not even with the pain exploding from their shoulder.

The ghost knew Kaela would back them up, so they did not fear for the outnumbering instead they moved to try and free themselves from the vermins fangs by shaking it to a side in a quick and rapid manner hoping to also maybe slam it into one of the other coyotes.

OOC: I know they're going to have to take a 10% health deduction because there's only two of them. @Ainashi

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Word Count:

Kaela watched with pr- satisfaction as the man she'd been working so hard to shape plunged into battle. Once upon a Time she would have left him there let the coyotes take him as a distraction and saved hersef. For some reason, however, she felt some sort of... Loyalty towards him. Perhaps she had simply grown accustomed to his presence. Yes, that must be it.

Desite her reluctance to fight the little beasts, the monochrome woman lunged forward to back Zilas up. She took the coyote to the far right. It was the smallest, and therefore likely to be the easiest to strike down quickly. The sooner they had even odds, the better.

Kaela was not a big wolf, but she was still big enough to use her weight and momentum to knock her target to the ground before biting at it's head. The vermin met her Jaws with it's own, and for a few brief moments did battle. As Kaela gained the upper hand, foreign teeth latched into her shoulder. She yelped, releasing the coyote beneath her as she turned to retaliate against the third coyote.

She was vaguely aware of her original quarry biting at her now exposed throat, but Kaela didn't cease her attempt to get hold of the beast currently attached to her limb. Growls rumbled in her throat. No longer was she cautious; the wraith was now angry.

@Kaela Hope this is okay and sorry for the long wait

The throw was a lucky shot but the vermin twisted as it landed on the ground getting on its legs snarling and hissing. The ghost had hoped to slam it against the third beats but it came to appear that the third vermin had joined the battle by attack the silver woman. The ghost snarled, their ears flat against their skull. Vermin, muds with no benefit other than death. The Ghost saw red, the iron in their mouth bring an ill-tasting bill to the back of their throat and boiling thoughts to their brain.

It was odd, less then a year ago the taste of blood, the thought of killing anything would have left them devested and fearful. But now? The ghost wanted nothing more than to raise hell, and these three vermin were a good start.

A deep rumbling snarl left his inky lips as they abandoned their attack on the first coyote and instead turned their attention to the third vermin who had attached itself to Kaela. Her snarling voice left a grin on their lips.

Wrong move vermin.

Though the ghost did not leave much time for Kaela to try and free herself instead they moved forth jaws parted aiming to grab the third vermin by the hips or lower body and pull it back away from Kaela in an attempt to help her get the damned Varmin off her shoulder. Who knew maybe they could rip it in half if she managed to get a good grip on it too.

Of course the first coyote the vermin they had flung away was still there, and it makes itself weary known when a sharp pain explodes from his left hind thigh. Sharp teeth gripping and tearing as it pulls at his leg. A snarl rumbles through the fur of the third vermin still in their jaws as they make an effort to rip and tear at the third vermins body. The ghost could deal with the first vermin at his legs in a short moment.
