Eirian Asurn
Backdating to around the 10th
Two weeks, or was it more now the band of three lingered in the mysterious confines of the Vale, traveling like a gypsy caravan from place to place. Truthfully he had expected to be further along by now since reappearing in Relic Lore with his misfit family in tow. The pit-stop at Quarry's Rush was only suppose to be a temporary pause; a small hiccup in their plans, but alas mother nature reminded the Asurn how wrathful she could truly be come summer. Every inhale of air into his lungs was tainted with the touch of smoke from some forest fire burning the earth anew up north; or any direction really, and all around him the world had acquired a  faint hazy appearance that mirrored the crisp, foggy, autumn mornings looming just around the corner. If this heat relented that is. Unfortunately, this haze was far less enjoyable and harder to dispel.

Underfoot, the sudden uprooting of a sun bleached bone had Eirian pausing to give the weather worn object a curious moment of investigation. Boring. He decided and gave the bone a swift kick off to the side only to have it grab his attention once more as the clank of bone on bone before shattering echoed in the otherwise silent forest. Now that was interesting…

Ferreiran Morse
Ferreiran had found his way into the hill of bones purely by chance. He had chased a rabbit before looking up and finding himself in the unfamiliar landscape. Everything since his birth pack had been unfamiliar, though. He was getting used to it. It was the bones that scared him. The tiny mouse legs that crunched under his paws, the one wolf skull away from the others like it was on display, and the many that he couldn't identify. He wasn't the type to run away at his own shadow, but this went far beyond spooky.

It got worse as he heard another wolf. Quite close actually. The dark male couldn't run. He stepped towards the wolf only to see him kick a bone away and listen to it shatter. Rage flared in him. That wasn't the way you treated dead! His dark paws had respectfully avoided as many as possible, in adherence to this code he somehow needed to follow. And this stranger was outright disrespecting these deceased creatures! Sure, they weren't all wolves, but still. He raised his head and tail, furious. "So what do you think you're doing?"
