Camilla Tainn
RE: Camilla, it feels like something is following you through the night, but no matter how hard you try, you just can't seem to catch it in the act!

It came at night. Of course, Cammy had no idea what it was, but unless she'd lost her marbles then she was pretty dang certain that she was being followed. Ever since she'd arrived in this land things had gone from bad to strange, which was a bit of an improvement but still it wasn't good enough for the Tainn. At first she'd assumed it was a figment of her imagination, her way of coping with the loneliness but it happened night after night, over and over till she concluded something, or someone had to be out there. At first she'd wondered whether it was one of her siblings, that this was their way of getting their own back and showing her the error of her ways. But they never leapt out from behind a bush, they never pounced on her from the shadows.

As soon as the sun set  she was always holding her breath, waiting for something to break the tension but  it never did. No matter how hard she strained, her senses told her that she was alone but that just wasn't right. It couldn't be.

Her eyes were all sore, her eyelids droopy as she squeezed through the brambles. She was desperate to find somewhere to get some rest, any nook of these tangly trees would do, but what if it came for her? What if it finally made it's move?

Lifting her head high, the Tainn continued on, not knowing that she was treading through her ancestral home. It certainly didn't look like much, a tangle of thickets and vines, but surely it was safe. Whatever was following her would surely be kept back by the thorns, or so she hoped. A girl could dream.

Tzila Achlys
Halloween RE: It feels like something is following you through the night, but no matter how hard you try, you just can't seem to catch them in the act!

She liked to think that she had made decent progress over the span of the past few weeks. Tzila had made her way northward and then west, crossing into a thick stretch of land that she had not yet seen before. In her eyes, a change of scenery was always nice. It was something she was used to, what with having opted for the lifestyle of a loner and all. But as the months stretched on, bringing with them colder weather, she found herself considering something preposterous. Joining a pack. By no means for the socialization, the sense of unity or god forbid, the hard work. But to ensure her own survival first and foremost throughout the winter. The young female looked out only for herself; the needs of others could come later.

At a crossroads of what to do, she started by investigating the area. She was partially relieved to find that no traces of other wolves inhabited this dense woodland. It was tightly packed, riddled with shrubs, skinny trees, vines and thorn bushes. And, every little snag at her fur made her more and more irritable by the second. For hours now, the fur along her neck had been on end. She couldn't place it, but she felt eyes on her, all around her. The sense that someone or something would creep up, breathing down her neck, only to vanish, tauntingly. She was no wuss...she practically was the essence of the night itself, but even this was getting a little much. Snarling as her gray eyes darted through the dark, she stumbled forward carelessly, pressing against a thick tangle of vines and weeds. Her body heaved as she tried to break through. All she wanted was to get out of this seemingly cursed forest. And fast.

Apparently not. Her ears flicked to alert at the sound of rustling and she couldn't help but grimace in annoyance. Come on now, only when she thought she was safe, that she'd managed to escape her stalker did the world prove her otherwise. As if to say, ha ha ha, this is what you get. Well that wasn't fair was it? Hadn't she been through enough and what did the being even gain from tormenting her?  She scowled, her tail flicking in clear agitation as her imagination ran wild. Her mind conjured images of wolves the size of bears, wrapped in bloodsoaked thorns and vines, creatures as old as this forest itself. She licked her lips nervously, wouldn't she have heard it's mighty footfalls? Surely no beast would want to hurt someone as harmless as her, right? Right?

"Could you stop that?" She asked the forest as she puffed up her chest, tried to look as strong and as mighty as her Father.
