Jenessa Kay Selwyn

Jenny had done a lot of growing. Her legs were long and lithesome as she charged along, tongue lolling out of the side of her mouth as she perfected that look of panic. Her eyes were wide, her pupils twitchy but that wasn't enough for her. More more more. She'd gotten so good at pretending that it didn't even feel fake anymore, she could be anything or anyone she wanted to be. It was all a matter of setting the scene and mood. She squished her eyes shut real tight till tears budded at the corners and heaved in ragged, choppy breaths that soon disrupted her previously smooth breathing pattern. Choppy choppy, a shuddering mess on four dusty paws. This was perfect, boredom would soon be swatted aside for trouble.

She'd sniffed around the area a little the day before, followed the river as it meandered close to a stinky border. The perfect target really, so lonely and isolated in their grassy fortress. The best lies were always based upon truth and she'd seen it happen with her own two eyes, it was just a matter of spinning it right, like a spider stitching it's web.

"HELP!" She wailed, her voice breaking in that painful, earnest way.

Laike Artemieva

It was not a delightful sound that reached his ears. In fact, it curdled his insides and a scowl was quickly stamped across his usually stoic features. His hefty form moved swiftly to the border. There was a child and he might have not guessed that had his own children not been around the same size. Almost adult, but obviously missing some heft to their frames. She didn't smell like anyone and that alone sent off a few alarm bells.

What is it? He questioned in a cold and calm tone. Laike was not willing to trust anyone upon his borders until they laid everything out. They had been harmed before, lied to before, lost before and he would not allow it to keep happening if he could help it. His orange eyes settled on her panicked face. He would hear her out. For now.

Jenny panted and wheezed, as though there wasn't enough air to fill her lungs. She kept this charade up for a while, shaky breaths coming in and out, in and out till she raised her gaze and gave the man of absolute despair. Oh it was so terrible! She swallowed thickly then with a frail, raspy voice she explained what had happened.

"I was playing by the river," she pointed with her snoot the way she came, towards the palisade. "And I...I saw someone by the other side- they fell in and I-" She hiccuped, tears flowing down her cheeks as she stared down at her paws, as shame rocked her to the core. Or so it seemed anyway. "I went to help them but the river took them away. We have to help them, they might be hurt or-" She clamped her mouth shut, as though that reality was too much to bear.

Adelayde Artemieva
adelayde artemieva

She was hard to ignore as the shrill sound resonated off every object throughout the Rye fields finally settling within her eardrums. The mother wasn't going to ignore the call, however, especially after finding that poor starving child a few weeks ago alone in Lore. There wasn't going to be another one if Ade could help it. Making her way as quickly as she could, her blonde coated mate was already at the border with the ebony female. This time, her frame didn't scream out to her like the boy's did. Frankly, she looked healthy aside from her heaving sides and panic stricken face.

The mother played into the show, her mismatched gaze widening as the girl told her story. The tawny woman glanced over to Laike to see his thoughts. Adelayde was too trusting, through her guard has strength since her time here in the Lore and the events in her homeland. By nature, the nurturer wanted to console the girl, but the critical gaze from her husband warned her of what happened when she trusted strangers. The Rye was all too familiar with lies and deception from others, but what lies could this young child harbor?

Do you remember what they looked like? She asked, hoping it wasn't anyone she knew.

Alvar Forsberg.
Medic demonstration 1/3. New posting order, @Jenessa to @Adelayde then @Alvar and then @Laike sound good? Thoughts. Speech.

Alvar heard the screams of a girl not far from where he was collecting herbs like Oak leaves and Moss for the pack, a shrill cracking scream of horror as whomever it was cried for help. The man was so surprised he almost dropped his moss from his mouth. He grabbed what he could and decided to run towards the cry, after all whoever it was obviously was either hurt, being chased, or knew someone who was hurt, in 2 of those cases herbs would be needed, and in one the might be if things ended badly.

He was running as fast as he could while thoughts of what might have happened raced through his head... Broken legs, incredible illness, extreme bleeding... the list went on.

When he arrived he saw @Laike and @Adelayde standing in front of a small black girl. "That must be her." He thought. He ran up and dropped his herbs before looking at the other Rye wolves and asking... "What's going on here?" He looked at their faces and saw that they did not trust the situation, so Alvar curbed his enthusiasm and relaxed a minute while he scanned the girl, she was very lithe and seemed almost frail in her frame.

Alvar listened to his packmate Adelayde's words and proceeded to ask the girl... "And how long ago was this?"
