It certainly was wild, out there. This may have been the worst blizzard he’d seen, but it was still a hell of a lot better than where he’d spent his last winter. Snow was already beginning to drift shut the entrance to this shelter, but with two of them in here now, Jethro felt a lot better about their ability to break out if they did get completely buried.

He visibly relaxed too, as Nash accepted the offer of assistance but confirmed that they would not be going back out again, at least for a while. ”Thank goodness for that. Don't think we'll be goin' anywhere any time soon, at this rate. You’re right, though,” Jet spoke, taking the time then, to tend to his paws again. The feeling had mostly returned to them, and it appeared the cuts had mostly scabbed over, too.

The other let out a soft laugh at himself, too, seeming to insinuate he had less than half a brain. That sort of.. self-deprecating humor was not something Jet had seen much of from others. Especially not from Nash, who seemed like one of the more intelligent individuals Jet had ever met, but it was something he could roll with.”Maybe.. not quite everyone. If there is another, you’re lookin’ at him.” He flashed the other another wry grin at that. It was nice to actually have time to just.. sit and talk with someone. That'd been a rare luxury, as of lately.

Nash gave the slowly closing exit a long look as Jet agreed with him, but he didn't think overmuch of it. A sealed entrance would mean less heat escaping, and they'd be able break out if they needed two. Both were relatively strong, after all.  They were just lucky to have a shelter for the duration of the storm.

Jet quipped back his own little joke and Nash mirrored his grin before swiping a paw at his face to get the last few ice crystals from around his eyes and nose. He always forgot just how much he disliked winter. There was a reason he'd spent the last two at the bottom of the mountain instead of up here. He was glad to have someone to shelter with now, though. It was good to have a home again.

For the most part, he liked being alone, or at least when it came to sleeping or denning arrangements. But, this wasn’t so bad, either. Maybe it was something Jet could put up with, once in a while, during the colder months. With silence falling between himself and Nash, the dark one’s thoughts drifted back to the conversation he’d had with Siyet. She was probably dealing with this weather without too much difficulty, considering, but he wondered if her thoughts about him had changed.

He hoped they had. Jethro did not want to lose a friend, but it would be best for both of them if things did not progress past that. Still, though, it might be best if he sought her out sometime soon, just to be sure.
