Llinnea had lived her very short life on the edge of the territory she'd always known as home. She'd only ever met the one other girl her own age, and then there was Archer and Eros and sometimes others that would come visit them. Her mor kept a close eye on her and her brother and getting away wasn't always easy.
Things had changed a little since mor had taken them to see Archer's far, which had led to a lot of questions about what a far was, and all Llinnea really understood was that it was like a mor but not. Now, however, they had a home. Llinnea was confused by this, since they'd always had a home, but her mor seemed to feel better about it - even though she was still wary after that whole weird thing with Archer that the pup still didn't understand.
Today was one of those lucky days where Llinnea managed to sneak off to explore on her own. She wanted to see how far the smells went, how far she had to walk before she couldn't smell the other wolves of this 'back-water'. She was getting to where the smell was getting fainter but not gone when she hears the laugh. It unsettles her, but she was also curious.
The girl crept through the underbrush, practicing her stalking skills. She thought she was doing it perfectly, silently gliding through her land, when in all reality she was probably even louder than if she'd walked normally.
