Leo Vuesain
for @Nash only

He’d been thinking a lot over the last month, having had nothing much else to do as his leg rested. Being so debilitated from just walking was quite the eye opener, but in truth, this was something that had been in the back of his mind ever since the monster. The other days trip north, talking to Nori, had fully made up his mind.

And so, Leo made his way through the forest that was just starting to feel a bit like home, seeking out his leader and surrogate father. Confident in his decision, he tried to ignore the nervousness creeping along his hackles, as he speculated how Nash might react; It’ll be fine…. He told himself over and over again; He’ll understand…

It took a little while, but finally he was able to track down the dark Eastfall, offering a small smile to try and ease any tension – in himself above all else – and asking quietly: “Nash, can we talk?”

Nash Eastfall

Nash had not yet talked to his family about what positions they might all hold within the pack now that they had sort of settled. He knew he needed to soon, he needed to make sure they would all be good with their places, that they could get along. He was concerned about Nori and Magg... especially since he would be placing Nori above his daughter. She was both older and hadn't caused the sort of hurt Magg had. Mostly. It still stung that she was a factor in Eclypse leaving.

But that was the past and they were making a new start together. Hopefully Magg would see that.

As if summoned by his thoughts, Leo's voice drew his attention. Nash turned to look at him. His ears pricked. "Leo! Of course. What's up?"

His greeting was bright and energetic, appearing truly happy to be approached by a pack mate; Like always…. Leo couldn’t remember ever seeing Nash turn anyone away, even when he was exhausted or injured, he always put the pack before himself – and the Vuesain would aspire to meet that standard all his life.

For now, the dark man’s attitude helped put Leo at ease, his ears giving a soft wag at his hocks. Still, he struggled a little to find his voice, tongue feeling too big in his mount as he started: “It’s about, well… I figure you and Aquene are planning roles for the new pack and…” He paused to lick his lips, swallowing hard before finally admitting: “I… I don’t think I can be a guardian anymore.”
