OOC: I know this wasn't planned, but Makita wants to talk to Alexander about Borden. :3 I suppose anyone else who knows a thing or two about Borden or simply wants to cheer poor ol' Makita up is welcome. Makita's eyes were red and bloodshot as she dragged herself carelessly back from her spot in the sunshine where she had rested earlier. Her mind was racing with the words from Borden. 'I couldn't spend my time being your babysitter.', 'What made you think you'd see me again after you got here?', 'There's more to it than friends and family,', 'You're not being there didn't help, either.', 'See things as you wish. Tell your beloved leader I was here and that whatever tidings I wished to exchange with him are no longer extended.' It broke Makita's heart to have heard him yell and scream at her... and she had snarled back. After Borden had said his final fuming words, he left. When he left, Makita cried. She had dug her head into her small, fraguile tawny paws and sobbed. Now, for once, she felt alone without her hero at her side, like it was supposed to be. She looked up to him and put her trust in him. He was the one that she wanted to be most like. Now... now, she was thinking Where did it all go wrong? She was no longer crying. Well, she was considering there were tears still streaming down her cheeks, but she wasn't sobbing or throwing a fit any longer. For once in a long time since meeting Borden, she felt truly alone. Now, there was one person that she wished desperately to speak with - Alexander. If anyone in this whole pack knew anything about Borden (or a lot about Borden), it was Alexander. Plus, she could use the company, you know, the kind that didn't yell and snarl at her. Secretly, she hoped that nobody would see her as she dragged herself, limping terribly, along the mountain. Of course, if someone did, she would probably be asked to explain herself, which was something she didn't want to do one single bit. Sniffling slightly, she glanced up ahead of her, her eyes weary and sad with depression. Why did she feel so alone when she had a whole pack there for her? Where did everything go so wrong? |

Adonia Valde
As Adonia sat and bathed herself in sunshine, she noticed the shape of a pack member limping towards who knew where. Her curiosity was piqued, as well as her want to help the wolf out. Who was it? It did seem like a wolf she had met before, though probably one she didn't know that well. From her stance, the wolf was certainly not very happy, not happy at all. Deciding to approach and either comfort her or figure out what was wrong, she stood up and stretched her limbs. Then she followed the wolf, trotting a bit to catch up. As soon as she had, she noticed that the wolf's eyes were bloodshot and it appeared that she had been crying. The wolf was a lovely brown color, with dark brown eyes. Adonia immediately recognized it as her fellow pack member, Makita.
Then she thought about what she was about to do. If she was as upset as Makita seemed to be, would she want to be asked what was the matter? Most of the time, it just made her even more upset. It didn't really make sense to ask her what was wrong since that would just make her relive what made her so sad. Yet, she didn't want to say "Are you okay?" because that could bring up a snappy answer, <i>obviously</i> she wasn't okay. Deciding her wolf carefully, the she-wolf opened her jaws to speak.
<b>"Makita... I'm here for you if you need someone. It's okay if you don't want to talk right now, but remember I'm always here,"</b> she said, smiling gently, and secretly hoping that was the right thing to say to the wolf in distress.
It made her upset just looking at how torn up Makita was. If there was anything she needed, Adonia would certainly be willing to give her that favor, whatever it was.

Makita Kokki
]Of course, it was probably her fault... or at least she blamed herself. Truthfully, she shouldn't be out of her den at all. She was still healing and it was bad on her recooperating joints, muscles, wounds, and especially her broken ribs. But, she had to talk to Alexander, even if getting to him caused her sharp pains. As far as she could see it, Alexander knew the most about Borden and he was the one she would've wanted to talk to anyway. As she dragged herself along the land, her bloodshot eyes filled with obvious sadness, she tried to hide her face; she had scented another Midnight Plateau wolf near her. Sqeezing depressed golden eyes shut, Makita let out a muffled sob. Basically, her hero had just told her that it was her fault that everything happened and he was furious with her. It was like Spiderman telling Jane that all the enemies he faced were because of her, when the human didn't have anything to do with it. There hadn't been a day yet that Makita hadn't thought about Borden, how it would've been if he were here and how she would be in much better shape because he would've been there. But she'd never cried or had regrets about it, about meeting him or choosing to go with him. That was until today. Now, she just wanted to run away. She wanted to run until her legs couldn't carry her any more. She wanted to sleep and never wake up. She'd been stabbed in the back, and it was terrible, especially to Makita the delicate daisy and her sensitive ways. Suddenly, Makita felt eyes on her. She slowly let in another breath through her dark wet nose. It was a Midnight Plateau wolf. If she would've been fine, her hackles would've risen and fell, but today she didn't even care enough to worry about making her fur frizzy. She just continued to limp, a sharp pain occuring in her sides, her ribs, with every painful step. Truthfully, she didn't even care to look over at the moment. Luckily, she didn't have to. The she - wolf trotted up by her side, glancing over at her in sympathy. She immediately recognized the wolf, an average sized she wolf with very light brown fur, as Adonia. Makita hadn't ever really met her one on one, but she'd heard other wolves talk to her and she really sounded like a nice wolf. 'Makita... I'm here for you if you need someone. It's okay if you don't want to talk right now, but remember I'm always here.' Adonia murmured gently. The soft tone in her voice and her selection of words made her admiration for the she - wolf rise. If she would've been fine, she would've let a smile appear on her sad little brown muzzle. But, she wasn't in that mood. Instead, she let her eyes flicker over to Adonia's in an attempt to wink, then fell back down to stare at her paws. "Thanks, Adonia." she murmured quietly, her voice trying to put as much forced happy expression as possible. "I just..." Makita shook her furry brown head, sure that Adonia wanted some explination. "I feel really alone right now." The words made her want to lower her head and cry again, but Makita wanted to be tougher than that. She wanted to be superman, just like Borden had been for her. She wanted to do everything and be admired by everyone. But, she was really just a girl, trying to find a place in this horrible, twisted world. |

Adonia Valde
Adonia gave the young female wolf beside her a sympathetic glance. Although she did not know exactly what it felt like to have that happen to her, she couldn't take a good guess. Being a loner for a while did those things to you, that much Adonia did know. Or at least, it did those things to her. The female wolf almost never had idols, rather just looked upon people by their actions and judged them by it. Everyone made mistakes, and the she-wolf learned not to give your whole trust or being to someone, as it just led to your downfall. Adonia had learned that mistake more than once, and decided that she would never make it again.
Either way, there was still a wolf in need in front of her. Mikita was not in a nice state at all, and looked like she should be asleep in her den and resting her wounds rather than wandering around. Adonia decided that if someone would be as determined to possibly open up wounds to infections, as well as opening up room for more pain, that person must really want something. Mikita looked like a wolf that would do such a thing.
When her pack mate responded without a snappy attitude, and Adonia realized she had said the right words, the she-wolf began to relax beside her pack member. This was no time to make an already injured wolf angry.
<b>"Well,"</b> Adonia began to respond, <b>"I can't exactly say I know how that feels, but being alone had been a big part of my life until I came here, and was welcomed into the open 'paws' of Midnight Plateau."</b> She smiled as she continued, <b>"But, if you, at any point, feel lonely, just know that everyone is here for you. When I first arrived, I learned that the only way to make friends here is to take the initiative yourself and let all of them in. There was.. a bad introduction between me and one of the pack members when i arrived, and the wolf departed from the pack and i couldn't make amends. Just make sure you're ready and willing to let them in. But still, as i said before, everyone is here for you. Now, I have a feeling that your a wolf on a mission! Mind if I accompany you on such an adventure?"</b> Her eyes twinkled in amusement.

Makita Kokki
Makita did enjoy the company of Adonia, even though she just formally met her. But, it was a bad time and Makita did wish to speak with Alexander.. alone. Of course, thought Makita to herself. She's just comforting me... and I like that. If Makita had been in a good mood and if Makita had been wishing to speak to Adonia, she would've smiled and opened up gratefully. But, she wasn't in that mood. She wasn't just going to ditch Adonia either. Her golden eyes flickered to watch the older she - wolf, trying to keep as much innocent happiness in her eyes as possible. Makita could tell that Adonia was simply trying to cheer her up and the fact made the golden she - wolf admire Adonia even more. As the last of her tears slid down her furry golden face, Makita blinked, listening to Adonia's soft, comforting voice, like a lullabye in her ears. 'I can't exactly say I know how that feels, but being alone had been a big part of my life until I came here, and was welcomed into the open 'paws' of Midnight Plateau. But, if you, at any point, feel lonely, just know that everyone is here for you. Mind if I accompany you on such an adventure?' The words made Makita close her eyes, another tear slipping down her face, though she tried to hide it. The sensitive and overtrusting Makita had let a certain wolf in - Borden. What did she get? She got betrayed. She got yelled at. She got hurt, bad. There were some things that you had to go with your gut with. Makita's gut had told her that Borden was a good hearted person. But, why did he do what he did? There were also things that you just knew. If Makita knew anything, it was that Adonia was a good wolf and she could trust her. "You know Adonia, I'm going to open up to you. I just - I need to talk with Alexander. But, maybe if I talked to you first then I'll feel better when I get to him. I don't want him seeing me like this." Why did she not want him to see her like this? Because she was a mess; tears streaming down her face, voice shaky and weak... Makita rolled back onto her light brown haunches, and then lowered herself into a laying position, hoping Adonia would sit as well. It was good for Makita to not have to drag herself anymore... for a minute anyway. She planned on telling Adonia everything. Makita just needed to relieve some of the pressure inside of her that had been building ever since she was five months old and taken away from her pack. "I hope I don't bore you, Adonia. But, I think I just need to talk. I trust you." she murmured, her eyes skimming up to stare at Adonia. Slowly, she began. "I was born to the alphas of a pack with one sister, Kauda, and one cousin, Kanaii. We grew up together closer than peas in a pod, closer than an egg and it's shell. We loved each other. When I was about five months old, my parents and aunt and uncle went away. We didn't know where, but they did. Over the next couple days, a horrible storm moved in and it had one of those twister wind things." her voice broke, hoping she wasn't already boring Adonia. Makita hated being boring. "The storm.. it swept me up and took me away. It wasn't until the twister went back up into the clouds that I was dropped. Surprisingly, I was still in Relic Lore, but I was alone. That's what caused me to be a loner for so long. From then until I was about a year old, my life was a blur. Terrible things happened and wonderful things happened. Not too long ago, I met a wolf named Borden Lyall. I could just tell that he was a good hearted, intelligent wolf and when he invited me up to this mountain I couldn't refuse. I went with him. Along the journey, he became my hero, the one I looked up to. I watched him hunt and I wished I could've seen him fight. He was strong and I wanted to be just like him. Then, one day, I got a little left behind and met a couple wolves, one was Angier." her head bobbed gently, her eyes closing as she spoke of her dark past. It brought back painful memories, but it also relieved tons of pressure. She figured that Adonia would know Angier, as he was apart of the pack. "I was.. well, attacked by a bear. That's how I got in such bad shape. If it weren't for the wolves like Angier, I would've died then and there. Of course, though, I had to keep coming. I had my mind set on getting a home and seeing my idol again. So, I dragged myself up here. About halfway there as I was passing through Swift River territory, they attacked. Luckily, I had someone to help protect me, but I was still hurt. I didn't give up though, and I kept coming. Eventually, I made it here. Alexander took me in and I learned to trust him quickly, as he is my alpha. But when I came, Borden was gone. He had left for a girl. I didn't see him for a while, but when I finally did, he was furious. We yelled and screamed at each other. I coulda swore that if it weren't for my condition Borden would've attacked. He.. well, he betrayed me. That's why I'm so sad. That's why I need to talk to Alexander. That's my story." Makita finished. The delicate daisy had tears streaking her fur and clouding in her eyes. "Sorry to put you to sleep." she let out a pained chuckle that was obviously faked. |
