Cedarwood Forest dark plunder

Elettra would only nod lightly as of now to her question, leaving it open, for it would take her some time still to decide. She wanted, truly, nothing more then to rest for the travel and hardship of living a loner's life had grown on her. But this female was not lead, in fact, she was unaware of her position in the pack. Elettra had no means on agreeing to join a pack when she had yet to meet its leaders, nor understand the rules of the land. She wanted to know what she was getting herself into before she jumped into it, after all. Another nod, as Elettra's gaze left the woman to search the area around her. Her ears flickered wearily, eyes of pale coloration scanning each way and that. She was highly alert, tail level and still swaying behind her, head, despite entry into anothers territory, remained high. "What is 'us', after all? Where am I?" She knew nothing of the pack when the white woman suggested for her to join 'them'. She knew not of the lands calling, nor their world as a whole, or the wolves, or other packs, which might of dwelt within. The newcomer was just this- new. El's attention remained fickle, searching between the cedar forestry and the woman, who scent marked and called to her pack-members. She figured she must have been of some significance in the pack, granted her ability to mark herself within it. A slight smirk touched Elettra's expression, for if she managed to join this pack, she had no means to sit back as a regular, nor be a beating post for the pack as it's new omega. Without a doubt, she would fight her way up for her own respect and dominance amongst the ranks. Yet until then, she was just a visitor, a guest amongst the brethren, as she trailed behind Vlarindara slowly.

"'Here' is Cedarwood forest.. 'Us' is my pack." Her tone never wavered from the gentle, almost mothering tone...nor had it gone mocking when answering Elettra's questions. "There are only six of us for the time being.. More will be along." The white female was unaware of Elettra's decision to work through the ranks, unknowingly telling the female that her 'fight' upwards would be short indeed. Amber eyes shifted through the trees of her home. If there was a look for wolves denoting 'content' it was on the snow-white face. Vlarindara was proud of her home.. of their lands. She was equally as proud of the pack and its members, even if she didn't really know two of them.. and had only met the third briefly. That would have to change.. she'd have to make it a priority to get to know the wolves of Grizzly Hollow better.

The gentle giant spoke smoothly and freely to the new coming, never a huff in her voice, a mocking tone or a snort when Elettra showed her signs of ignorance to these lands. She would assume then for now, they were the wolves of Cedarwood Forest, as this was the only information she had obtained. The history of the place, she was sure, was something she would learn more of in time- but first, rest and food seemed at it's best. The number of wolves, even small, sounded soothing to the woman, in which things were simple and true to the wolf's natural form- a small family group, tight friends. Most likely, it would be a mated pair, a few children, one of two friendly followers and perhaps even an omega in their mists. Elettra was used to pack's much larges where they knew little of each other, and the strength of a pack was simply based upon numbers, nor how loyal you might have been. Fighting was a must to gain anything amongst such a place. Elettra so was thought the place cosy, but worried of her restless spirit to need more. "Tell me more." She inquired, wishing to know anything she could whilst on the way there, a sign in showing her struggle to keep the conversation at life.

Vlarindara led them closer to the heart of their territory where the pack den resided, but answered the questions of the darker female without pause. "Our two alphas...Borden and Jaysyek left their previous pack.. gathered myself.. and my brother about two months or so ago. The four of us traveled and claimed this stretch of land for our own after Jaysyek chose a den she liked...Over time.. my brother..Raigo disappered to make his own way in the world, leaving our number down to three. Shortly after that, both of the alphas brought in the rest of the wolves.. Aisling, Kauda and Kiche. With luck.. we'll grow yet again in a few months." She smiled softly, glancing back at the female before returning her gaze to the woods they traveled through. "Perhaps we'll have more adults join before the pups are born and further strengthen our hold on the land."

What else did wolves think about when it came to packs? Oh, right...ranks.. "I'm..Borden and Jaysyek's second, but I don't know where the other three are settled in terms of..hierarchy to be honest. It's being sorted, I do believe." Still unaware that Elettra was thinking of working her way through the ranks, Vlarindara hoped that as a newly forged pack, there wouldn't be too many fights for different ranks and dominance.. But... She was sure there would be - which also meant this was the most dangerous time for the new leaders.. with wolves joining who perhaps thought they deserved that right instead. It wouldn't happen if she had anything to say about it. Wolves had to fight through the ranks to her understanding. To get at either Jaysyek *OR* Borden, they'd have to get through her.. and she had absolutely NO intentions of that happening.

And just as quickly as the woman began, as though she had done this before, Elettra Archer listened in silence. She learned much in that speech- the names of what may become her leaders, that the woman next to her had been in the pack from it's creation, along with her brother, and that they were a relatively new pack as well. Even more so, she knew her brother was no longer with them, perhaps seeking honor and hierarchy in his own terms, this, and the alphas were due to have children soon. Elettra would make sure to keep close to the big white female, whilst hostility might be higher then the normal in order to protect the future of their pack. Three years old, Elettra had never been a mother herself, nor held a lover. She knew little of what it was like to care for a child and found herself holding little patience for their little knowledge and hyper antics. "I see." She would only whisper delicately, having been correct in her assumptions that the woman next to her had become a beta within the pack, and without a beta male to her side. The rest was up to the subordinates and how well they held their grown amongst themselves. El was sure she would have no problem with this, yet had no intentions of overthrowing the leads, despite how beautiful the lands here were. After all, the lands could be vast, and more beauty could lay beyond here.

Vlarindara chuckled, pausing momentarily just before the immediate ring of trees surrounding the pack den. "Welcome to Grizzly Hollow..." She grinned, but covered the last of the distance in silence, emerging from the forests around them and glancing around, amber eyes flashing over first the mound of the dug out den and the cleared lands around it. A half eaten boar from her earlier meal was still tucked just inside the den mouth where she'd left it before leaving on her patrol. White paws flashed across the ground as she made her way over to it and grabbed one of the remaining legs, carrying the meat over to the darker pelted female. "It's not much.. what I had leftover from my breakfast this morning. I'm not sure where the rest of us are....perhaps this will tide you over until they get back?"

Grizzly Hollow...So that then, was the name instead, as she glanced to the dug out hole in the ground, protected within the forestry, unknown unless you knew the location. She paused when the white wolf paused, then move forward with her as she did just the same, eyes searching around the area with her, looking out, should another be around. She was surprised to see no one in the area, mainly with a pregnant alphena. Where could they possibly be? Her nose would twitch to the smell of death and blood which often came with it, pale eyes of gray flashing into the direction of the kill as Vlarindara moved towards in, taking a leg from the half eaten boar and placing it before her darkly dark paws. Elettra's lips would peal back in a smile, her body (secretly unable to stand much longer) falling to the ground in a sit delicately, despite her willingness to toss herself in a huff to the forest floor. "It will. Your too kind." And she was. She could not remember anyone offering her some food without consequence or something in return, if it had ever happened at all. The lush woman was thinner then her usual and clearly, this was exactly what she needed. She had her bit of food and she would be safe here within the boarders of Grizzly Hollow whilst she gained back her energy.

A smile graced the white females features as she stretched before settling on the ground near Elettra, but far enough away to give her some space if she needed it. Vlarindara wasn't sure how the others wolves might react to a newcomer..nor did she rightly have the power to grant access to the pack. If either of their leaders decided not to allow Elettra in, or the black wolf chose not to stay, Vlarindara would gladly give her safe escort to their borders and ensure she left the same way she entered - without a scratch. If she came back after that...well that was a different story entirely.. but until then, she decided to stick around the female.. keep an eye on her.. and out for her at the same time. She didn't want the wolf getting into trouble if one of the Grizzly Hollow members saw her unattended.

Vlarindara kept a silent watch throughout the area, smiling despite herself at the possibility of their number growing in strength yet again.. this one a wolf she had gotten to know a bit better than the other three.. Though.. she was worried what might happen if this wolf sought to challenge the packs leadership.. Though, she had no doubt that she could take Elettra should it come to that. She hoped it wouldn't.
