From the safety of a Willow's umbrella-shaped canopy, the dappled matriarch watched the rain pitter patter against the ground that had now become a mixture of mud and melted snow, a disheartening combination for any wolves out there that took pride in keeping their appearances clean. No such luck would be granted now that spring showers had begun to roll across Relic Lore, bringing with them the promise of new life and vibrant colors again to replace the monochrome world winter had forced them to endure for what felt like forever. Enjoying the winter months personally, even Enoki had grown tiresome of the snow and the troubles it typically brought.

Rising, the magpie gave her dampened fur a good shake to rid what excess droplets she could before excusing herself from under the makeshift shelter, deciding it was time to pay the newest member a visit and gauge how well or not so well they were adjusting to life among the willows. The pack was still small at best, but that was no excuse not to try and form some type of bond with the latest addition. Couldn't it be easy since he knew nothing of the pack's history and held an unbiased opinion right? Right. She mentally agreed with herself while ebony limbs prowled the territory for signs of the other, nose lowering when she crossed a fresh set of tracks in the mud that faintly held their owner's scent. Adjusting her paws accordingly, it wasn't long until a figure appeared in the distance which vaguely resembled the man she had accepted.

Releasing a sharp bark to grab their attention her paws picked up the pace, quickly closing the distance that lay between them. "Eskil." Enoki called out calmly, ivory dipped tail swaying contently at a half lifted position behind her rump.

The patter or rain whispered through the forest, a welcomed sound as it meant that winter had finally begun to relent some of its icy grasp on the land.  Eskil tread gently along a worn trail, mud and slush clinging between his paw pads in a slightly unpleasant mix. He walked with his nose lifted to draw in the scents of the forest; damp moss and willow bark, and the few wolves that called this place home. Despite the few members found within this pack, it was clear that the territory was well used. The first few days he had spent scouting out the territory marked out between the aged borders, where he found well-worn trails, caches with the remains of old sunbleached bones found scattered between the fresher deposits, and several personal dens in various states of use or neglect. He could tell this was an old pack, or else they had ousted the former occupants. But at only four wolves, not counting his own recent acceptance, that seemed unlikely.

Eskil had pondered over it, and thought to ask @Ravenna about the pack's history, as he hadn't gotten the proper chance to talk to her yet since their evening in the rise. He had tried to keep himself busy and productive, hunting and scavenging and otherwise preparing what he could for the imminent arrival of spring and cubs. As he walked he heard a sound behind him, his ears flicking back just as Enoki called out to him. The man stopped in place, turning around to face the matriarch with his head lowered respectfully, grey tail at ease by his hocks. "Enoki," He acknowledged her, his brows lifting slightly in curiosity. "Is there something you need?" He asked.

Easily coming up along the man's left side now that his paws had stopped once his attention was grabbed, the magpie's marred snout gave his silvered shoulder a small nudge in greeting before offering an equally small shake of her head. A warm smile gracing the inky lining of her lips. "Not at all." She started, letting the smoldering hue of her eyes lock onto the spruce green of his own momentarily while slowing taking a step forward to hint he should take a stroll with her while they conversed.

Ebony limbs then traversed the muddy terrain at a casual pace, occasionally brushing her side against the trunk of a willow to remove small clumps of her shedding winter coat. "I actually wanted to see how you were fairing since you decided to join us. Ask if there was anything you may need." The man's diligence already at hunting and keeping the caches stocked in preparation for the upcoming spring and the new lives currently developing in her womb that would accompany it not going overlooked by the dappled woman.

In truth, Enoki admired his work ethic which had always been a vital attribute the Ridge had looked for in its members.  Even with Elettra no longer at the helm, the magpie had full intentions of running the pack how she knew the grand Archer would have wanted it to be run. Will, strength, loyalty, honor, respect and unity always remaining the solid foundation.
