The Beaver Dam. Perfect place for fear, safety and neutral grounds. The Cedarwood Forest, Thicket of Secrets and The Wildwood ment those things to Rebecca. Death in Cedarwood if she would enter there, safety of her den in Thicket of Secrets, and safe neutral ground to meet new wolves in The Wildwood. Sitting on the edge of the stream, watching the evening to settle and covering everyhting under the darkness of night, Reba wondered should she head back to home for night. Turning her head and looking back to Thicket of Secrets, she felt uncomfortable while thinking the journey to her den. True, she had traveled all over the Thicket, but still it was impossible to avoid all sticks and branches it contained. The journey would be slow and possibly painful if she would receive some larger scratches.

Ears up, something moved. She could hear it, traveling through bushes. Sniffing, but couldn't get any scent, the wind blew from behind her. The visitor would get her scent, that's for sure... Standing up Reba turned to face whoever it was there. How could she even know what was it? Maybe a bear? Or a prey. Useless, no need to make youself feared before there's no reason for that. Keeping neutral posture Rebecca waited for the something to show itself.

A flowing creek, the chirping of crickets and the sounds of a nighttime forest rang through Melody's ears. Exploring the area had been fascinating; She'd discovered many new things already. As the evening light cast a veil of shadows over the land, she found herself becoming a little lost, both mentally and physically. Her den was in the Drooping Willows; Comforts for sure, but the night brought so many new things to explore and discover. Was it wise for her to he out? She was sure she could find her way home, even in this.

Suddenly the wind carried the scent of another fae to Melody's nose. She sniffed the air, tracking the location, then paused. Should she go find the stranger? It would be fun to meet someone new, since she hadn't really met another wolf before. A cool breeze ruffled her fur, and before long she decided the odds were for better, so she judged that finding the fae could only benefit her. With a smile, she kept a friendly posture and began to pad through the bushes, cracking twigs and leaves as she went. The scent grew stronger, and soon she pushed her way theough the bushes; Before her stood a black wolf, in a neutral posture. Melody wagged her tail slightly in greeting.

Wolf. The one who came was female wolf, with creamy coat and green eyes. She seemed friendly. Fear melted away as she sniffed the scent. Odd, she had never smelled it before. That wolf was someone new. Tail started to wag slowly, the other seemed friendly and she was new, great chance for new friend! Smiling friendly she wondered how to start conversation. There were many ways, but what would be friendly and open minded, also well-mannered? Hmm...

<b>"Good evening! You're new here?"</b> she then greeted and asked. That was best she could make out to this, hopefully it sounded good enough... Waiting how the other would react, she moved her weight from one leg to another, still smiling and wagging her tail slowly. Wondering where the other was from and how friendly she was. Hopefully friendly, Rebecca wasn't on the mood of fight.

The other wolf seemed to be friendly. Everything about her; Appearance, personality; it all seemed so wonderful. Her tail was wagging and a smile seemed to be plastered to her face. Any fear Melody had once felt had melted away. This wolf was not a threat in any way, and she knew it. After taking in the scent of the other wolf and sitting doen, she met the others' gaze and her tail, too, began to wag. For a moment there was silence as the other one seemed to struggle in finding something to say, but then she spoke.

Upon hearing the greeting, Melody's heart leapt. This was perhaps an opportunity to make a new friend! As she cleared her throat, her eyes closed when she smiled, making a gleeful kind of face. Tail still wagging, she responded, <b>"Yup! I traveled here from the Rockies all the way down south in Colorado. Long distance, but it was worth the trip!"</b> Her eyes opened as she glanced to the sky, then she looked back down and calmly met the other wolf's gaze. <b>"So anywho, my name's Melody! Of Mel, for short if you'd like. What's your name?"</b> An excited yip finished the sentence, causing Melody to laugh in embarassment.

Rebecca's smile widened while the other spoke. She sounded so excited. Her tail started to wagg faster as part of Mel's gush grabbed her. Sitting down as well, she listened closely, joining the laughter when Melody laughed to herself. What a nice wolf Mel was! Be able to laugh to youself is a great feature! <b>"I'm Rebecca, Reba for short."</b> Licking her nose she glanced to the sun that had nearly settled, only the top of it was still visible. <b>"I came from Alaska."</b> Her smile slightly weakened, but only for a short moment. Brushing her memories away she looked back to Melody. <b>"Do you have aplace to sleep for night?"</b> she asked.

Among her short life, Reba had seen a lot of things. Some good, others not. Danger was part of loner's life, and one of the most dangerous things was to sleep without any safety. Den was perfect place for safe sleeping, and Rebecca assumed Mel had one too, but who knows where it was and hw far she ahd traveled? Rebecca's den was nearby, behind difficult way maybe, but if Melody would want,s he would be happy to give her a place to sleep.

Already Mel could sense a friendship forming, and she enjoyed that feeling. She had yet to make any friends, so if Reba was her first, it meant a lot to her. She was so friendly, and Mel liked that about her. Taking note of how her smile had faultered when she mentioned coming from Alaska, Melody had to wonder if something tragic had happened to the fae, but decided it would be better not to ask at the moment. After hearing her question, Mel responded, <b>"Well, I do have a den, but it is a bit late I suppose. And I'd like to know my newest friend better!"</b> A smile graced her lips.

Though it had been a long journey, through harsh weather and terrain, Melody knew that she had found a place to <span class='word'>cleave</span> to. This would forever be her home, this beautiful place, and she was glad that it was so. And now, she had a friend, which added to the comfort of the area. Everything in Melody's life seemed to be going so well! Though deep within, Mel knew of the bad things that come with life, but she'd always chosen to not keep them in mind. Any day where she could wake up the next morning was a good one.

Rebecca grinned happily. Melody was definitely most friendliest wolf she've met so far, and it was warming to hear that she had already been counted as a friend of hers. Wagging her tail in pleasure, she wondered would Mel like to come to her den to sleep for night. Only way to find out was to ask. <b>"I have a den in Thicket"</b> she said nodding to the dark, unwelcoming woods. Darkness felled quickly under the thick branch roof, nocturnal animals keeping their spooky voices all around the forest. Staring, only able to marvel the transformation that had happen in so short time, Rebecca shivered and giggled after it. <b>"It doesn't look to welcoming doesn't it?"</b> she smiled. In there, almost in the middle of Thicket of Secrets, was her den, her secret. She was ready to show it to Mel, if she would want to come in that dark, scary forest.

Looking to tthe sky, where stars started to shine one by one, moving her eyes to the moon that started to be visible when the sun settled. Turning her head and looking back to Melody. She had beatiful name. Melody.
