Early evening, after sundown. Cloudy.
As the shadows crept forth, extending over the whole of the Lore like a thick blanket. It was a pleasant time of evening for most, one when the quiet of the daylight hours had subsided, but where the sounds of the midnight shift had yet to arise. An onlooker would be hard pressed to spot the inky figure that slipped into view, if not for a pair of acidic green eyes separating him from the darkness itself. Only one wolf could have had such a pitch black pelt, paired which such an usually colored gaze. Blitz Mizuno. The Sea Wolf was back.
It was the gentle lull of water that drew him out into the open. The familiar trickling called to him like a long lost friend. Tantalizing his ears with every step as he drew closer, Blitz knew with utmost certainty, that this water would not lead him to the sea. He had vanished a while ago, slipping in and out past the boundaries that defined Relic Lore. Searching. Always searching, for some route that would take him home. Hoping to catch the faintest whiff of salt in the air. He and @Niq'x had become separated, and as of now, he had no idea where his agouti sister was. Perhaps she had more luck than he, and had found her way back to the ocean. And if she had, he was happy for her.
It was after multiple failed attempts to find the way home, that Blitz realized he was stuck here. He was surrounded by nothing but vast wilderness, composed of forests, mountains, plains and tundra. But no sea. Instead of throwing a tantrum or sulking like he would back in the old days, the matured Blitz dealt with this taste of reality with a steady calm. He may not have been thrilled with his circumstances, but he would have to make the best out of a less than ideal situation. And besides, it wasn't like he was completely alone here. Last he knew, @Pip @Tyne @and "Nauja" were still somewhere in this land. He wasn't even sure if any of them would want to see him, granted his less than stellar attitude when he hung around.
At his feet flowed a rapid but gentle river, lined with rocks of multiple sizes and shapes. His eyes lowered to watch the natural flow of the water, following it's path downstream. It may not be salty or churning with waves, but it least it was familiar. He didn't bother following the river; only remained in place, gazing longingly, but knowing all to well what outcome would await him. His chest heaved as he breathed in, and then released the air in a rumbling, soft sigh.
