Daighre
Dated to February 19th. For @Abaddon (ง'̀-'́)ง
Things—to put it bluntly—were going to complete and utter shit. And he couldn’t have been in the surrounding area for more than five days but that was all the time he needed to understand that he was trapped in hell. Because in the span of those five days he’d seen more wolves and had taken part in even weirder encounters than he ever had before. From wolves that didn’t understand how ice worked to wolves that were too friendly and pushy for it to be natural. He’d seen it all and hated every single part of it.

So, thank fuck he finally made his way up the mountain without anymore stupid encounters. It was the end of one adventure and the start of another one as he made his way home. Just the idea of finally making it there was enough to take his mood from bad to worse. Two and a half weeks. Two and a half weeks of pointless drama and wandering all because his own mother had the nerve to kick him out of the pack he was supposed to inherit. There was something wrong with her and he didn’t know how his dad managed to put up with it.

His brows furrowed and Daighre stomped along the snowy foot trails with a vengeance. If he sent rocks and snow flying who give a damn. It wasn’t his fault if someone was unlucky enough to be in the wrong spot at the right time. Fucker would probably deserve it.

Abaddon
She watched the blonde figure in the distance, her brows knitted tightly together as he stomped across the land like some toddler throwing a fit. She snorted harshly without a care if the wolf heard her or not. If the wolf was going to put on a show they should have expected to be watched upon by any others.

But watching could get boring and Abba was out here looking for fun. The wolves down the mountain were no fun. So how could she turn away entertainment that fell on her doorstep? "What's dragging you down, boy?" She called out with a faked curiosity as she prowled a bit closer. "No one goes around stomping like that if they're in a happy mood." The female added in just in case the boy was going to deflect the answer.

She had dealt with answers like "Nothing" and "Just thinking" from @Pyriel before. There was no way she was letting this soul get away with it too.

Daighre
The growing scent of pack and stranger filling his nostrils was enough to have Daighre on edge and ready to snap. Because this was friendly stranger number what? Four? Five? He couldn’t keep track of them. They were all the same when it came down to it and if another goddamn nobody approached him with the same wagging tail and vacant smile he was going to kill them. It was the usual visceral reaction he always had to friendliness but something about this one pissed him off more than usual.

Maybe it was the way she called him boy. Like he was somehow inferior to her just because he wasn’t old like she was. Or maybe it was the way she made a dig about the way he walked like it was the perfect icebreaker and that was the secret to making poor idiots spill their guts. Either way, it was enough to have Daighre stop walking and snarl.

Did she think she was funny? That she was just the epitome of humour and charm?

Because she wasn’t.

His ears rolled back against his head and his face contorted into a sneer. There were a million other things he could have done in that moment and every single one of them was a variation of ignoring the women and walking off, but he chose the one solution that involved answering her.

“What’s it to you?”
