Garmir Ghostpaw
OOC: Morning of 27th. All welcome.

Garmir had extended his morning patrol beyond Charred Ash Draw borders, mostly to see if the changing weather might have woken the forest yet from its wintery slumber. Some birds were singing already, although it was still colder than what he remembered the season to be last year. Somewhere during his patrol he had decided to go check on the Hidden Tree Den, where his adventures with Charred Ash Draw had begin. He knew the place was important to @Treyah and it shared history with the pack the earthen male had decided to become part of.

While he was not particularly spiritual, Garmir believed in Ancetors of sorts and the Hidden Tree was a place that had certain... feel to it when one approached it. Especially when it was dark, the old charred Tree looked like it was holding the sky from falling and the den and its entrence underneath the tree felt both safe but also... how'd he put it? There was certain fibe, some.. energy surrounding it - like someone would still be there after all this time.

Garmir stood by the entrence and inhaled. There will still scents of wolves that had come and gone through here. Some Garmir recognized, others he did not. Treyah scent was strongest and she had clearly marked this place some time ago. The earthen male lowered his head and murmured in soft, almost pleading voice. "It's me again. You propably don't know me but.. I am friend of your grand daughter." -Garmir paused. He was addressing Treyah's grand parents of course, even if he really did not believe anyone would recieve his request. "She is strong but.. she could use some encouragement - a dream maybe. Much ill has befallen on her as of late. Triell gone, infighting withing pack, this year going waste with nobody to mate with her.." -He paushed again, starting to think what he was doing silly, but since he had begin, he might just as well continue. "If Triell is with you.. over there. Could you let her know, gently. It's worse when there is uncertainty... "

Kerberos Rigel
kerberos rigel

He didn't know what to do with himself anymore. He had patched up his wounds the best he could in order to avoid more jabs from Treyah about infection. It wasn't like he wanted an infection. It was more or less his sudden lack of self-care that would have brought it on. Once that had been done he did nothing else. He roamed about almost like a ghost, with curious wonderings if he was becoming Naira. Were these woods haunted or cursed? Was the lead position a cursed spot to hold? Or had he been doomed to be this way from the start?

The Rigel wandered aimlessly with his thoughts and a branch of white fir clenched between his teeth. At some point he realized where he was going. There was a familiar place not far from the Draw's territory. He had messed up here recently but he still wished to visit, to think about all the good that had been.

But someone seemed to have beaten him here.

Kerberos only caught the tail end of the words that had been spoken. He leaned his head down to set his branch at his paws before he offered a low woof. The Rigel held a rather dreary posture, tail lifeless and face smoothed with tired features around his eyes and lips. Who were you talking to?

Garmir Ghostpaw
@Kerberos

Garmir thought he had hear something, but even then Kerberos suddenly announcing his presence caught him by surprise. He ceased muttering to the dead and glanced over his shoulder. The alpha male - if he could still be called such - looked quite miserable. Had Garmir not witnessed the fight between Maera and Kerberos he might even pity the fallen rigel, but now he felt no such things. If anything, there was mistrust and distaste in Garmir's eyes as he glared at the other male.

As usual, Garmir's body language was minimal, his tail remaining idle, overall posture not changing, ears remaining as they were, erect and listening - but little less than that. He made a half turn towards rigel and tilted his head lightly before he replied. "To dead."

Garmir approached his leader, although not moving directly at him - rather making half circle around to his side. He eyed at Kerberos closely, noticing his injuries but more noting how he had not assumed dominant posture near Garmir - at least yet. Why was that? To Garmir, structure was important, even if he was incapable of true submission. Kerberos did not strike to him as an alpha male right now and he was not afraid to point that out. "Shouldn't your tail be little higher, or are you that defeated by now you won't even demostrate your authority around lower ranking wolf?"
