Starhale followed the sound of water.
She was quite thirsty but, on top of this, where there was water there was often mud and flowers. It took her little time to navigate through the woodlands to find a waterfall cascading down into a pool of water she stood before, and Starhale marveled at it with an expression of awe. The Tainn had forgotten her very reason for coming here at all, in looking at this terrain; sightseeing was part of the joy in finding family she knew was out there. Perhaps even nearby, now...
Starhale moved to lap at the waters, drinking slowly. Once she was finished, her gaze panned to her surroundings when she saw it—mud. Delighted, she bounded toward it with a waving tail and an impish grin. The yearling then lowered herself into the mud pond, eager to have found it; the mud would keep her cool, combatting the summer heat, and it was a fun exercise in play. Starhale had many cares in the world at present, contrary to her appearance—when would she eat next? When would she find her family? What if she ran into a predator?—but she let herself forget for the moment about these things, all too keen to enjoy life this very moment instead.
