Garmir Ghostpaw
OOC: Garmir approaching OTB territory. Overcast Clouds
64.4 ° F, 18 ° C  , late evening.

Lot of bla bla bla, Im sorry. :D

Garmir had struggled to find route over the mountains during previous day, being forced to alter his course more than once and retrace his own steps to find suitable path. He had crossed the mountain range south from mountain of Dire, finding semi passable route through it. He doupted Triell might have crossed the same way, if at all. He had tried to seek body up along the way as far as he could predict @Triell 's route but so far he had not found anything that would have indicated death of his lord. If he had died, then he must have died somewhere else... or someone had buried him proper. Knowing that was the option he had been trying to establish contacts with locals and also chose to cross the mountains in order to find anyone or anything that could help him in his task.

While Garmir was primarily seeking for Triell, he was still interested in mapping the greater area of Relic Lore, adopting it as his secondary task. He had no hurry to return as of yet - @Treyah should not be expecting him for another two weeks. . He knew wildwood and western side of the mountains fairly well by now, but eastern parts were unknown to him.

Having finally done the crossing, Garmir eventually found himself in what was known as an Spectral Woods. The forest had little different spirit to wildwood, but he found it generarly pleasant and calming, allowing the lone scout for first time take it easy after long and enduring crossing. Not knowing the area, the earthen male chose to follow the water bodies, such as creeks and rivers that he could use as an landmarks for later.

First sign of trouble showed up roughly midway to his journey into the woods, Garmir not counting on coyote threat to be a thing this far away from home. This was bit of a shock and cause for concern, coyotes apparantly having infested larger areas of Relic lore than what he had originally thought. They gave the earthen male a chase, making Garmir to abandon his original route of following one particular river and instead forcing him to take shelter from deeper parts of the Specral Woods. This did not discourage him, even if it presented significant obstacle. He thought about seeking help, remembering that Tainns supposedly had friends east of the mountains - only he did not know where to look.

The day was already turning into evening when Garmir came across another water body, choosing to follow it. This was the cold water creek south west from Oak Tree Bend and Garmir's first clue of foreign pack in these lands. He found old, very faint scent trail and begin to follow it, reaching the very borders of what was the Oak Tree Bend just before the sunset. By the time Garmir arrhived, he was already exhausted. He only hoped, almost begged the spirits that these wolves were friendly enough. He'd rather not be chased by his own kind after already being chased by coyotes.

He settled down, almost slumping and after taking a moment to catch his breath - raised his muzzle to make a short but clear howl, calling for whomever owned this piece of land. He wasn't very representitive, but he was too exhausted to care at this point, having ran and kept fast pace throughout the day.

Chamomile
guardian demonstration 1/3

He didn't rule this land but he cared for it all the same. The tanned chocolate male had grown fond, having cast away a once nomadic lifestyle for this pace. His swiftly moved from the heart of the territory out towards the borders. His small form moved quickly and with grace. The sun was about gone and part of him wanted to shoo off the stranger. A tender part of him hoped the call would not wake the newest children. Surely they had been tucked in for the day or were at least close to it.

While he held himself tall, he stance did not speak of a leadership position. Perhaps a defensive guardian at best.

"Can I help you?" He asked with a quirked brow. Bright green eyes trailed over the stranger's form with ease. They were scarred (although they seemed to be older scars, no need for worry) and looked exhausted. Chamomile had his doubts that they would be a threat but if they were, well, he had a whole pack to rally together.

@Chamomile

Garmir took few deep breaths and then cleared his throat. He straightened to be more representitive, but kept his tail limp behind him and his ears pointing more to the sides than straight ahead. He did not want to pose imposing, his already scarred form and often stern look giving enough of that. The wolf whom had come to greet him was not least outright hostile, making a question rather than demand to leave post heist. Garmir replied to question with a question;"Whhh... which pack is this?"

As it often was, Garmir barely thought of his words until after he had spoken them. His question sounded a little hasty, almost as if there might had been imminent threat looming around or matter that required immidiet addressing. He allowed his muzzle to drop a little, Garmir trying to steady his breathing for sake of their conversation.

Only now did he moved his eyes around the stranger, noting his pose and overall look. In fact... it was quite similar to Garmir leave the scars and.. perhaps size. The earthen male was bigger, though not decisively so. Both males even had green eyes which became apparent as Garmir turned his gaze directly at him. A huff, then tiniest of smile, Garmir bowing his head down but never taking his gaze away. "Ahh.. hahh.. Im sorry. Should introduce myself first. I am Garmir."

Serach Donata
Sunlight was rapidly fading away, and Serach was on his way back to their den to spend the evening watching Azra and Kisina to give Aponi a break. The howl interrupted the typical nighttime sounds and made his ears flick up to attention. Sparing only a second to look longingly in the direction of his intended destination, he turned on his heel and set off at a lope to see who was keeping him from his family.

The Bend leader was pleased to see that he would not be meeting this stranger alone. Chamomile had also answered the call and seemed to be holding the stranger at bay, although the grizzled man seemed more exhausted than threatening. Lifting his head and tail in a clear display of dominance, Serach joined the other two men. Brushing his shoulder against Chamomile, he took up position beside his subordinate, his gaze focused on the stranger who had called for them. His nostrils flaring, his eyes widened in surprise as they registered several familiar scents on Garmir's coat that he wasn't expecting.

"I'm Serach Donata, and this is Oak Tree Bend," he introduced. "You know Treyah and Sahalie." It was a statement, but his tone conveyed the question, how.

Chamomile
feel free to skip him if needed as he's now just on stand-by rather than talking (unless spoken to!) || guardian demonstration 2/3

Chamomile was grateful for the arrival of Serach. His tail briefly swaying at the bumping of shoulders. Names were spoken that the teacher was not familiar with and so he decided that perhaps this was perhaps a bit of personal business. He took a polite step back to dismiss himself from the conversation but still be on watch.

Although he would be a liar if he said he wasn't eavesdropping some.

His green eyes watched the weary male expectantly hoping that he would not get any ideas. Especially when there was now two wolves of the Bend present. His lips twitched with a hint of humor at the thought.

Garmir Ghostpaw

Another wolf arrhived, this was apparantly higher ranked than the one before. Garmir knew he should have tried to represent his pack a little better but he was quite exhausted at the moment to produce overly cordial greethings. He gave Serach A simple nod while still catching his breath. The male introduced himself as well as the pack Garmir had arrhived to. The earthen male had to admit the man had really good nose, being able to pick up Treyah and Sahalie off his fur so easily. A relieved laugh came out. He had come to right place.

"Ahhaha... Yes. Treyah is my leader. She is alpha female of Charred Ash Draw. Sahalie... hmm... is visiting. She has a child so they are taking shelter for now. I am the pack scout." Garmir straightened up some - to seem more representitive and then took few careful steps towards Serach, remembering to maintain respectable posture. His nose extended further and he now inhaled in turn. There was less of a surprise and more of an disappointment in his eyes over what he could pick. He already knew the answer but he wanted to be sure. "..Triell is not here.. Isn't he?"

Serach Donata
Sincere apologies for the delay in response!

The obvious answer to Serach's question was the one that the Bend leader received, although his eyes widened in surprise at the other information Garmir revealed. It was not that Sahalie had traveled to Charred Ash Draw, or that she and Kino had started a family of their own, but rather who the head of that pack was. What had happened to Naira? He opened his mouth to ask, but promptly closed it again when Garmir took a few steps closer. Eyes narrowing, the Bend leader's body tensed, ready to spring into action if Garmir's intentions proved less than benign. Sparing just a glance to Chamomile, he checked to make sure the man had not gone too far, just in case this meeting went south.

But Garmir only seemed to be sniffing the air, and so Serach relaxed, although he continued to watch carefully. He was utterly unprepared for what happened next, however. At the mention of Triell's name, Serach's heart stopped, while at the same time the sound of his heartbeat grew impossibly loud in his ears. Instinctively his brow furrowed and his lips curled into a silent growl. The pair had never gotten closure after the events that had torn the Bend to pieces, and while Serach had moved on in his everyday life, he could not deny that he was still angry at his uncle. The rawness of it had faded, to be sure, but his anger was louder than his concern for his uncle's safety. But the concern was there, and so his brain went into shock while his emotions battled out. For several long minutes he could only stare at Garmir without truly seeing the other wolf at all because of the battle waging inside of his heart and brain.

"No," Serach finally snapped, his tone more blunt and short than he had intended. "Triell lost his right to live in these woods a long time ago. If he's your reason for coming, then you've come a long way for nothing, I'm afraid." He tried to soften his tone, but he wasn't entirely sure he was successful, so he moved on to something he was more concerned about. "How is Treyah? When did she take over leadership?"

OOC: No problemo. ^^

Garmir's question seemed to wake lenghtly, uncomfortable silence from the pack leader. He could not claim to be best one at reading emotions due to lacking several himself but there was clear sense of anger coming out of the lead male - although propably not quite directed at him.

The scout's gaze shifted around as the silence grew even longer. Garmir wasn't sure what to say or do from here on, instead opting to idly paw the ground and just politely wait for answer. Finally came firm 'No' and something else as well. Garmir had been wholly unaware that @Triell might have not had best relationship with this pack - or least some members of it, and it almost struck him in turn, the earthen male having used to hearing nothing but praise towards the old man. He wanted to inquire more, but Serach changed the topic before he could do so.

"She's faced plenty of hardship, but there is some light in the horizon." -Garmir replied in turn. A cryptic answer with a tone that sounded almost devoted to her. "Treyah has been my lead through my entire time with the pack, since late last year. Not sure when she.. was forced to take leadership exactly."
