Lorcán Artemieva
Midday, Clear Sky, 75.5°F, 24.2°C. All welcome!

After several months spent away from the Lore, Lorcan couldn't wait to finally return home. The mountain paths were much clearer, and less treacherous, now that the deep layer of snow and areas of slick ice had melted away with the return of the warmer weather. A faint smile pulled across the male's charcoal lips as he remembered back to the past Spring, recalling how he — and everybody else — had stressed that the snow might not ever melt away. Now though, it seemed the wolves of the Lore were faced with the opposite problem. The midday heat would have made him uncomfortable had he not been so high up the mountain. The air was cooler atop the mountain peaks, and the faint scent of the Tarn lingering on the cool breeze filled Lorcan with hope that his wife's kingdom had not crumbled in his absence.

The agouti male travelled the mountain route north, greeted by yet more familiar sights and smells as he journeyed onward. Although he had been alone, Lorcan was appreciative of the silence. He could mentally switch off and just move instinctively along the terrain, his legs moving rhythmically without much effort at all. He estimated that it would take him another three to four days to make it home, if he made good time. However, Lorcan did not wish to return the pack an exhausted, starving mess. He was already looking thin, his ribs noticeable beneath his thinner summer coat and his paws were sore and cracked. He decided it would be wise to travel a little slower, stopping more often for sleep and refreshment. He would be reunited with Piety and his pups soon enough. A few more days surely wouldn't hurt, he could be patient.
