Wrynn
Afternoon, clear sky, only for Levi please! <3

He'd dragged himself forward sluggishly, wetness dribbling from his nostrils and a crunchy chesty cough alerting his presence to any creature with ears to his location. But he hadn't cared for the most part, and miserable made his way anywhere that was not a hole in the ground. He felt hot, but also so cold cold, and couldn't stop the shivers than ran through his body. And his muscles, oh how they ached like he had just sprinted up and down the entire mountain without pausing for breath. It almost felt like he was dying, and so when he stumbled over the skull of an animal he didn't even stop to think on it before continuing on. He eventually reached what looked to be a large pile of bones and skulls, making some sort of horrifying hill, and at closer inspection Wrynn could even see a few wolf skulls. Perhaps when he died of whatever sickness was ailing him his bones could join this pile.

With a spluttering cough the boy took a few steps forward before collapsing at the bottom of the skull hill, feeling a sharp rib bone poking into his side but not caring whatsoever. A great sneeze escaped him at the snow that billowed up from his fall, or maybe just from the sickness he had, but he let out a soft groan anyway. The worry of being eaten by something wasn't on the forefront of his mind, and what predator would want to eat him in this state anyway? Not even bothering to curl up Wrynn closed his eyes and lay there, wishing for his suffering to end before it got any worse, and if that was through death or simply getting better, he didn't particularly care in the moment.

Levi hadn't meant to stumble upon someone he knew, but it happened anyways. He could smell the infection inside of Wrynn long before he saw him. When did catch sight of the other, the snow-covered heap of skeletons behind him did not even register. His moss eyes saw the defeated boy alone, and his heart broke. He should have never let him leave. It was a fact he could not escape as his heart began to thunder and his mind attempted to focus on what needed to be done to save his friend.

He kept his distance, even though it hurt to do so. If he brought home illness to the pack, he could wipe it out. Levi would rather curl up and die with Wrynn here in the woods than do such a thing, but thankfully there were many more options than that.

"Wrynn!" he called out, "Wrynn, it's Levi!"

Please be conscious...

Wrynn
He managed to crack open an eyelid at a familiar voice that called out his name. Through the blurriness of his vision he spotted Levi's form a short distance away, and let out a wheezing whine in response. Another short bout of coughing resulted from the use of his vocal cords, but that didn't stop him from trying to talk.

"Levi!" Even through the fogginess of his mind and fatigue in his body, he was... happy to see his friend again. Yes, definitely happy. Levi was so nice to him, but this was not a good second impression.

Wrynn slowly raised his head from the pile of bones, wincing at the pain around his forehead at the movement, but even through that the tip of his tail tapped against a bone. If Levi was here then surely everything would be okay? He let out a soft whine as his head dropped down again, feeling too exhausted to keep it raised any longer. Now that Levi was here he had changed his mind about just letting the sickness take over him, but it was so much effort just to keep himself conscious enough to be aware of his surroundings.

Wrynn stirred, and Leviticus felt a great sense of relief. It in no way was enough to chase away all of the dread, however, as this did not mean his friend was completely out of the woods. He took a few steps closer, straining to keep himself back. His aloe eyes sought all that his training demanded he determine in order to begin to help, but all he could clearly witness were the fluids seeping from the other wolf's face.

Damn it.

Levi abandoned the safety of distance and approached. As his paws brought him closer, he recognized one of the frosted shapes, and the realization of what Wrynn was resting upon sent him running. From the darkest corner of his mind screamed the notion that the other wolf had purposefully come here to die amongst the graveyard.

As though it could help, he tried to breathe shallowly and expel his breaths harshly, anxious not to inhale whatever illness had taken over his friend. He offered his shoulder, trying to help the other wolf stand.

"We have to get you to my den," he told him. Out of the cold, where he could gather the proper resources and treat Wrynn appropriately. Hopefully, he was capable of making the trip.

Wrynn
He watched with a squinted gaze as Levi came closer, almost moving faster than his eyes could keep up, and he found himself blinking rapidly as suddenly the other wolf was beside him. Wrynn turned his head to look at Levi, another soft whine slipping from between clenched teeth. While he did not know much about illnesses, he was aware that they were contagious, and he didn't want his friend to also get sick.

Wrynn grunted morosely at Levi's words, almost slurring out his words with the effort of trying to stand up on his paws. "S'not gonna be... easy." He couldn't tell how far away they were from the den, but with the help of Levi's offered shoulder, he managed to get up onto wobbly legs. Just the act of standing up made him feel a little faint, and Wrynn leaned heavily against Levi, glad that his friend was larger than him.

His head was resting against Levi's neck as he stood there, taking a moment to enjoy the warmth radiating from his friend's body. He just felt so cold, and couldn't tell if it was from the snow or the illness. "Where to?" Wrynn huffed out, doing his best to hold back another set of coughs. He'd hate to get Levi sick as well.

It clearly took a lot of effort for Wrynn to move much less stand and support himself. Even the way he spoke the words which communicated as much were a testament to how weak and out of it the other wolf was. Levi had to bite back the urge to cry. If Wrynn passed away on him, he didn't know what he would do other than go absolutely insane.

His friend bravely managed to get up onto his own paws, and Leviticus was thankful for his strength, no matter how much he was needing to lean into him. He had no problem bearing the weight of deadened muscles.

"This way," he spoke quietly, touching his chin to the top of Wrynn's crown briefly in an attempt to comfort the other, "we can rest as often as you need."

If he couldn't make it, Levi would just have to come up with a different plan. Have to. Failing was not an option.
