....a role play sample (200+ words): The winds blew softly, brushing the grass ever so slightly. He was downwind, simply something of habit now. Cypress learned quickly that it was a lot easier to sneak up on fast rabbits when they couldn't smell him coming.
It was late afternoon, and his stomach was already reasonably full from the fish he had snatched from a creek before heading on his way. There wasn't really a reason for his travels, nor did he have a plan on where to go. He just figured that staying in one place was pretty boring with no company.
Setting his pace at slow trot, Cypress listened for movement as he looked around the trees he was now approaching. Now that he thought about it, having company would be nice...so long as said company was nice. Otherwise, it probably wouldn't go too well. Given that nothing had yet to jump out at him, Cypress kept on his path, weaving around the tree trunks.
The rest of the day went by in a dull, boring blur. Before he knew it, Cypress was laying by a riverbed, looking to the moon. Maybe tomorrow he would have more luck in finding a friend. Wishing the moon a goodnight, he rolled to his side and tucked his nose under his tail. He fell asleep to the calming sound of the river's water flowing endlessly downstream.
