watch while i spontaneously combust
It was silly of her, this manic desire she had to visit her hiding spots with the sudden influx of immigrants to the area—she hoped they were simply passing by, but it seemed unlikely since that one punk had talked about being neighbors. Civility told her she should probably go frolic in the glade with him and all their other neighbors, but rationality told her this was just plain stupid. No, for now Junai sought comfort in not wolves like herself, but memories and places, things that other people regarded as boring or worthless. These new inhabitants of Relic-Lore were something of barbarians in Junai's mind, destroying all the precious things they came across. Junai was confident, however, that the dam wouldn't be invading by such flea-bitten mongrels—they'd pass it up, blinded by apathy, never knowing what treasures the dam held.

She made her way along the rocky bank of the creek, her eyes intent of the odd wooden structure just ahead. The dam was massive by Junai's standards, considering it was larger than her by a fair amount... Of course, she was a slender creature, but the dam seemed to have been created by using the trunk of a felled tree, the length of it spanning the width of the river with clear ease. It had probably been abandoned awhile ago, she guessed, or perhaps it was simply chance that she had yet to encounter a beaver on her escapades to the hideaway. Managing a rather elated grin (it didn't look like anyone had been here in awhile!), Junai crept forward, poking her angular face into a niche in the wook that seemed to hold wet feathers and tiny bones. It seemed to be as she remembered it, perhaps even unchanged since she had last visited... None of her treasures seemed to be gone and Junai breathed a sigh of relief. <b style="color:#125d7c;">“Good,” she mumbled rather contently to herself and, appearing rather blithe, she sat down in the shallow waters with her back resting most leisurely against the dam.

Delilah "Murder" Devant
<blockquote><span style='font-family:verdana'>

There wasn't much on the mind of the girl as she wandered through the land, her eyes gleaming in the sun as she continued on her way. Murder wasn't really sure where she was headed, it was another one of those times when her body was bringing her somewhere without her mind knowing where exactly that was. Murder had a craving for prey, for blood to dribble down her chin and stain her fur as she enjoyed the sweet, delicious liquid that fueled her. She could feel her skin tingle with the thought of sinking her teeth into flesh, and wished that she didn't have to run around like a mad woman trying to find prey.

Not really expecting another being to be near her, Murder was slightly surprised when she spotted another in the near distance, and her paws brought her to an abrupt stop. She was across the river, leaning against the large wooden structure that stretched across the body of water. It seemed stable enough, at least to support the small being that she was. With her paws timid and smart, she began to make her way across the dam, pressing lightly with each step as to not allow the wood to creak. She was cautious of every movement she made, her tail working wonders as she balanced on the fallen tree, making her way quite quickly across the river on the wood, silent. She just hoped that all her training would allow the other female to go on not noticing the small girl creeping closer and closer with every second.

sorry about the wait and there might be a bit of a powerplay at the end? if anything needs editing, feel free to pm me and it'll be changed! :)

Her mind was an annoying place to dwell, always busy and noisy and generally unbearable. There were a million different things that left her frazzled, her tail flicking irritably despite the stillness of the day. There were so many other places to investigate, to make safe... Not to mention, she supposed she should meet up with everyone in Swift River, even though they were family—or perhaps because they were family, because she was glad they remained and wished to treasure whatever time they had left together. The wildfire had shaken her, left her paranoid that things were not as wonderful as she had always perceived them to be... The sudden influx in travelers in Relic Lore did not lessen Junai's anxiety in the slightest. Maybe it would all blow over soon—not today, not tomorrow, but soon, eventually.

Pensive, she only noticed he presence of another when she bothered to glance around the surroundings, wondering what her next move should be. Junai pondered visiting the Grotto or perhaps the Rocks, but her planning came to a sudden halt when she spotted a wolf only several feet away, eyes on her, watching and waiting. The stranger was tensed, her body lowered into a position of careful advance, making Junai wonder what her goal was, exactly. Whatever it was, the other was good, Junai would give her that; Junai hadn't heard the lady approach and doubted she would have, with or without distraction. Raising a brow, Junai asked slowly, <b style="color:#2A4F0F; font-family:georgia;">“Where'd you come from?” Not that Junai had really been paying attention in the first place, but still... It seemed odd for someone to be so near without Junai having had any prior knowledge about the stranger's advance. Which reminded her—<b style="color:#2A4F0F; font-family:georgia;">“And why are you here?” Sneaking up on people, while impressive, was a little weird.
