Although she hadn't been in Relic Lore long, Pandora knew that this place was off. Everything was either constantly shifting or fantasy perfect. But either way, it made her paws go off balance and her head get fuzzy. She needed to get out. And she could only do that with assistance from certain someones. Her ears buzzing with the sounds of the grove, she padded forward and swished her tail as she neared water. The rushing current soothed her pads as she slowly eased into the cold water. Finally. She lapped at it and gulped down the icy cold water happily.

But still hungry, Pandora padded back the way she came, wondering where food could possibly be. She was getting leaner and prettier by the days, and she was becoming healthier and healthier. Her wet pawsteps rank the air, mud splattering everywhere.

He wasn’t overly fond of traveling through the Grove, it passed far too close to pack lands for his liking and while Finn was nice enough, his only other encounter with the wolves that lived here had been a rather messy encounter on his precious Rise where his dark friend had gotten himself into a small disagreement with the inhabitants of this area.

But, there were times, when he just switched off and wandered wherever he pleased. Unlike others, he had very few ties to keep him in one location, or loyalties to anyone but himself, now that Rhysis was gone.

The forest was dense here, and the earth seemed to reverberate beneath his paws with an almost unnatural vibration. The babbling of the water drowned out the sounds of movement around him and the sweet clean scent of water masked the scent of the female until he was almost on top of her.

The large wolf paused for a moment before making his way down to the river, several wolf lengths from the black lady in an attempt to avoid startling her, and he too, lowered his head to lap at the waters. He was always apprehensive about meeting new females these days... after... He had to get his thoughts under control. Who knew which way this encounter would swing?

Pandora has the uncanny feeling that another wolf was nearby. She didn't have to check, for the opposite had already stopped at the spider's web. Slowly, her head lifted and her tail shot up as she eyed the humerous-looking male. Silence busted in the air like a bubble as she spoke in her solemn, dark, powerful yet feminine voice, "Ah, so look what the cat brought in," the black woman snarled, rolling her eyes. This wolf was obviously too calm to be any harm to her, but who knew? Males were crazy. Where was a deep gash running down her chest, symbolizing a long and hard fight in the past. By the looks of it; the wound had only just healed, but it did look quite infected. She narrowed her emerald green eyes that burned like cigarettes or a wildfire spreading.

She wasn't hesitant to show her bright white fangs as she spoke fluently, with quite the cocky and intelligent tone. Her tail held in the air as she stood, curled at the tip. Unease prickled at her fur, and her whole body stood on end as the wind wisped by; providing the nice downwind scent of the fresh water with this male's scent all faded by the water. Her eyes hotly glinted with the mix of her fear and distaste for the young male, for she did not base everything on looks. He could be playing a game with her as she was about to with him.

Look what the cat brought in...” A cocky smirk then crossed his face as her eyes rolled. Realisation dawned as he registered that she smelled of rot, and he had to struggle from crinkling his nose in disgust. How he had missed it before had the large male stumped. But he had no reason to feel concern for this woman. They were simply ships, passing in the night. For now.

He left his tail limp between his legs, no desire for a dance of dominance even fleetingly crossing his conscious mind. They were out here, alone. He was larger, and stronger, of course he could put her in her place if he wanted to. He just didn’t feel the need. “You’re a fine one to be talking fish food. He responded with his own sarcastic sneer. He was no healer, but he knew death when he smelled it.

Suddenly, the water didn’t seem so appealing as he absorbed her sodden fur. Far from a smart wolf, he took not of her overall appearance, ignoring the scar that ran down her chest. She was a looker, but he couldn’t stop his skin from crawling at her words. He would stay and play for a while of course, for all the good it would do him. He was a vain wolf, but you wouldn’t think so the way he was constantly prodding at things that would happily mar his pretty face.
