Kardinal let the fragrant scents of the blackberries wash over him, a smell that was oh so sweet, and smelled like the summer itself. The freedom that let his paws carry himself here was wonderful, and he would rarely think of trading it for anything in the world, unless he felt the tugging of a lone wolf to a family. But, of course for him, there was no chance of that any time soon. He had nothing tying him down, he could wander as he liked. He was no cheechako, oh no, he had...how would he put it? An, <i>experienced</i> kind of wanderlust? Kardinal didn't have the no-nonsense of a cub, but he still had the spring of youth in his step.

There was nothing driving him anywhere, but he felt hunger pains coming upon him, sending shivers through his belly. Raising himself higher on his haunches, Kar gave a nip at one of the low-hanging vines of the blackberry plant, shaving off a few and chewed them thoughtfully with his strong carnassials. Disdainfully, he spat a few back onto the ground. He wanted meat, not rabbit's food, and yet, he was't sure he wanted to hunt and waste away the steamy afternoon. With a low growl of slightest malcontent, Kardinal lowered himself again and gazed about himself, looking for something, anything, to do.

Weldering Darksidy
A lone wolf had to use every single resource that was open to them and sometimes that included eating the odd few berries. It was a diet that would never substitute the meat he needed to survive yet the sugar the fruit provided was a necessary fix that kept him awake for hours. Injecting him with a little more energy and hyperactivity that actually helped when hunting small game. Sure his patience level dropped but he would not give up as quickly when in this odd mood. Along he went padding leisurely from bush to bush eating the ones that where knocked to the ground to avoid the prickly thorns of the bush itself.

It was the low toned growl of the stranger that first caught his attention. His blackened ears immediately sent skyward in a prominent and alert position while he located the source. The bushes were thick though scattered over the field as he picked up the pace weaving around the thorn bushes until finally his eyes were set upon the unknown wolf. Already the few berries he had chowed down had sent him into a bit of a frenzy, ears still pressed forwards and tail swaying behind him. <b style="color:#0d5b8c; font-family:geogia; font-size:13px">"Hi there!" He chirped. <b style="color:#0d5b8c; font-family:geogia; font-size:13px">"I'm Welde, I'm a lone wolf. I'm kind of new here but also kind of not because I know my way around. Well at least I sort of know my way around-Oh what's you're name and are you also a lone wolf? I'm guessing you are because you don't seem to be a Tainn. Gawdddd I hope you're not a Tainn." Hyper much? Sugar rushes had an unwanted effect sometimes.
