She had indeed noticed the male even before he presented himself in the light of the clearing. The moonlight overhead cast it's rays down upon the earth as if trying to drown the creatures in there unearthly colors and cold embrace, while the wind wafted the scent towards her. Oh the familiarity of it, something she couldn't quite place even with her own most recent trek out of her native lands. It was a scent her grandfather and father had brought home many times. Or at least one that had smelt partially like it. letting her ears flick slowly as if in a relaxed state, even if every nerve in her body was on end. Many times had she been taught to always keep an outwardly composure even in the most dangerous of situations. Her fathers words ringing true to her ears,
when in peril it is better to remain as calm as possible and keep a level head while your opponent rales themselves up. For to have a clear mind, and all your wits can give you the upper hand. After taking the well deserved and needed drink of the refreshing water she lifted her head in a quick regal movement. Clear blue eyes glistened brightly in the moonlight and seemed to glow from within while giving a tinge of white just underneath the blue orbs that adorned that sleek face and muzzle of hers and pertant round ears of their breed. Oh, her figure she knew was on the larger side of the spectrum; but that did not enable her to make fast manuevers when she needed to, after all the arctics were known for their agility and quicker bouts of speed when the time called for it. Her own posture gaining a slightly defensive air, but in a more subtle manner as she let the corner of the ebony lips upon her muzzle turn slightly upwards at the corner. The fire within the eyes, the larger build and that smell....was this the one her father spoke of?
Oh it had been so long in the past that she barely paid attention. Though the words her parents spoke of to her before she left was intriging at this moment, it didn't make sense in the long run and she had been mulling it over. Why would they mention to spread the word and let the world know of their name if all they wanted her to do was investigate for available land to claim in their name? Her mothers words however at this moment would resignate the loudest. "find the look of fire-n-Ice and you will know the story. Of course she had ignored it, but her father had reminded her to keep an eye out for a larger arctic and that was all he said before they sent her on her way. Steadying herself carefully upon the bank she turned her tail held high and proud as she finally spoke.
Words like honey, and vocals smooth like molasses with that rich feminine and arctic accent that could spit words of venom or the sweetest nectar if need be "Hello, I see that I am not alone obviously... Her expression almost void of all feelings of fear and anxiety as she looked upon him, but was instead replaced by a sturdy and firm gaze that didn't faulter as she mentally took in his appearance and smell. He was obviously of Arctic breeding pure and true, after all she could smell her home lands upon him, but his appearance was blemished by those unnaturally red eyes and the speckling of darker coloration upon his coat. In her mind he wasn't worthy, but he appeared stong at the very least that is what counted right?
