Thundery outbreaks in nearby — 59° F/15° C | @Karpos

Today had been a rainy day, so it made no sense why Silver had chose to come to the marsh. Within minutes of being there her paws were soaked and muddy. Although she didn't care too much about it. What she did care about was the possible chance of running into Karpos again. That little bastard had left her a good scar on her muzzle that she wasn't taking a liking to. She hadn't really spoken to the pack's healer about it which probably wasn't the smartest choice she has made but it was her choice.

Stopping for a moment to stand in the marsh the dark female lifted her head to look at the sky. Rain was falling from the dark clouds cooling off the lands and replenishing the plants from the heat. Listening as somewhere not to far off in the distance thunder broke any silence that was around. It's loud sound making her smile softly with a flick or two of her tail. She enjoyed the rain days. No matter how muddy, wet, or cold she got she simply enjoyed these days. For the moment the Whisper Caverns scout was convinced nothing would ruin her day. It seemed almost impossible, because for once in her life she was content. Had everything she ever wanted. Well almost everything she ever wanted. What mattered the most was that she had a home, no family, she had the role of scout and she was loyally serving under her friend Narime. Things were going just fine for the woman.

Since he wasn't old enough for a pack role yet, he wanted to broaden his horizons before actually claiming the role of guardian because for all he knew he wanted to be a scout or a healer or a teacher though buried deep in his mind he knew that a guardian was what he would be. He had been very careful to be sneaky around the marsh. The marsh was one of those places. It was wet and soggy just like his former home of Pitch Pine Trail. It was a peaceful place for him and a place he often visited when he needed to truly think about things. He could think anywhere of course, but the marsh just kind of calmed him and allowed him to think more clearly as if that made any sense.

Since the place was wet and musty with the summer bog, he couldn't smell many things but he could see and so when he saw black fur, he instantly ducked away though he was careful to watch it. He noted distinct scars across the muzzle and he knew exactly who it was. He had left those marks himself. It was Silver. It was the betrayer. It was the demon. It was the liar. It was the woman who said she'd be there for him no matter what, but when he needed her most, she vanished. It was the woman he had once considered family. It was the woman who now sided with Elettra when it came to opinions about the fight and more importantly it was a wolf he did not want to ever see darken his walking paths again.

And yet here she was.

He started to walk away from her, not caring if she saw him or even tried to talk to him because if she even got near him again he might explode. The was the possibility she'd leave him at peace to think though he highly doubted it. Perhaps she would attack him. He closed his eye, his scar stinging from an emotional pain attached to the incidents surrounding it. She had ruined his magnificent face. He heard the thunder rumble and grinned. Maybe she'd get scared and run away from the marsh.

Her eyes caught him. That shady form of his. Fresh with a new scar just like herself. Except they had given each other these scars. These weren't the battle scars to be proud of. Nothing about it could she take pride in, absolutely nothing.

Watching him move away was, well, nothing. She wanted to say painful but the feeling of pain was absent in her heart soul and mind. Maybe it was cruel of her not to feel anything but she didn't know what to feel. Or perhaps this was how it was suppose to be.

Deciding to say something before it was to late she barked out hoping he would turn around. She wanted to see his face again. Even if it was for the last time. "Karpos," The dark female had to stop. Something in her throat holding her back. What would be the appropriate thing to say? What exactly was there to say. Surely anything would suffice at this point so she didn't look completely out of whack. "I'm sorry for what happened at the Butte. I should have know better. Much better..." Silver felt slightly sick at apologizing but she knew it was for the best. Looking down to the muddy marsh ground she took in breaths and let them trail out out her lungs slowly. Facing him wasn't the easiest thing to do, especially after the fight, but she knew he could and wouldn't be ignored forever. Evetually she would have to face him. And it seemed that "eventually" was now in this moment.

"Speech."

He heard her voice break the silence between them and he did not turn to face her. Confident that there was nothing in front of him to run into, his eyes closed as he started to walk away from her. He refused to face her because he found that his uncle Lachesis had been right. He had done nothing wrong. She threw out an apology and it took all his might to not turn around and make some snide comment. He turned softly, his eyes lacking emotion as he thoughts out his words carefully. "I'm sure you are." He demurred, the tone was bland with no sense of emotions mixed into it, like he was dead, before he spun and headed towards the pack lands that he was to call home.

The swarthy boy with the ecru eyes dared to pause, waiting to see if she would dare decree another apology or something to him. He would spin on his heels and speak. "I'm sure you are so sorry for degrading my father. You might be sorry but I was defending my family. Uncle Lachesis agrees with me and I'm tired of having a shadow of regret and fear constantly follow me around. I don't care about what you're going to say." He finally decided before stomping off into the distance. He knew he shouldn't be treating her like that, especially after what she had done for him and how close they had been. That was what had made it hurt the most. They had been so close and then Pitch Pine Trail broke up and his family crumbled. His hopes rested solely in that of Lachesis, Naia, and his new family. There was a twinge of hope that @Anastasia would return to both himself and his favrite uncle, but that hope was fast fleeting.

He was trusting Lachesis when the man had given him advice. Attacking her didn't make him a monster. He should let her hate him because he had done nothing wrong.
