Late morning/ Noon

The thread begins in Rogue Outcrop, but the hunt would take place about a mile out from the outcrop.

Seraphina had found the outcrop a little earlier in the day and had relished at the challenge of climbing it. She was sure-footed on this terrain and traveling all over the mountain was second nature to her. However, the outcrop was a little more difficult to scale. It had taken her the better part of the morning to get to the top, but now she was glad that she had taken the time to do the climb. At the top, the outcrop offered the most beautiful view of the mountain and of the forest that bordered it. Phina felt as though she could stay atop the outcrop, taking in the view, for the rest of the day. But, there were things to do. She had come out here today to hunt and that's what she intended to do. With a disappointed sigh, the dappled woman prepared to descend the outcrop, bunching her tone muscles as she carefully placed her paws to lower herself down. Just before she did, her intelligent brown eyes caught sight of a wonderful opportunity: a small herd of pronghorns. One of them was injured, favoring her back right leg, and Seraphina's lips curled up in a delighted smile.

Though she could see the pronghorn she was certain they could not see her. From where she was they looked smaller then her, though she knew that wasn't true. Confident that the distant sound of her howl would not disturb them, Phina tilted her head back and howled for her pack mates to come meet her. Hopefully, enough of them would have time to answer her call and they would be able to take down the injured pronghorn. Phina was experienced with this prey. They cluttered the flatland around the rapids where she used to live and Phina had been hunting them since she was a pup. On flat land they were almost impossible to catch. Their speed was remarkable, but they were terrible jumpers. And Phina knew exactly how to play the mountain terrain to their disadvantage because of their poor jumping skills. Satisfied that her pack mates would be here soon she began the careful, but hasty descent down the outcrop.

Restlessness gripped her spirit with a vexing ambush.

Only a couple of hours of permitted sleep had graced her.
A heavy laden sigh buried deep within her dry, crackled throat.
Aestyn knew she had been lying in one spot for hours hoping sleep would find her.
No luck what was the point of lying here all morning when it was pure torture.
She was sure there had to be something that would demand her attention.
Perhaps a task from the Alpha’s would present itself? Heaving all of her weight to her front appendages as she lazily made attempts to stand to her feet she succeeded. The area she had found herself in was quiet almost too quiet. Where was the rest of the pack? Before she had time to think more a call from the ever so familiar voice echoed throughout the plateau. @Seraphina obviously had a task at hand. It was an invitation to join her. Aestyn’s finely carved zenith led her whole carcass into a twisting motion as she attempted to shake off the exhaustion she felt.

Curiosity presided as her sleepy motions beckoned her in the direction of Seraphina’s vocal climax. She in turn, let her muzzle tip backwards as her raspy chords warmed up as her own unique howl graced the atmosphere.
Jabbing strides drew her up to the outcrop where the dappled woman stood. The trek up the plateau was a little strenuous on her tired muscles but, it served as a wonderful warm up. Upon seeing Seraphina, Aestyn’s vocals again warmed her throat as she spoke “Good day, Phina.” She smiled very lightly as her limbs brought her right up next to the fae as she tried to discern the nature of the call. Quickly, her aqua pools snapped to attention as she saw movement down the outcrop a ways. “Pronghorns, good eye Seraphina.” her stomach rumbled in excitement as the very word pronghorn exited her mouth. Her multi-hued tassel swung behind her letting Seraphina know she was rather delighted

Ace Caravello

It was around noon when the Silver Male heard a call from one of his fellow pack mates, asking for the wolves of Silent Moon Plateau to meet. He had been snuffling around in the foothills, searching for any small prey - or large - to snatch up for the food caches, but when he heard the howl, Ace quickly redirected his course for Rogue Outcrop. Padding swiftly up the steep mountainside, his legs pumping with energy, he soon made it to two female figures, both of which he had yet to meet. The two females were both smaller than him, which was the usual, but one sported a russet, black and grey pelt, while the other was made up of silver, crèmes and blacks. His tail swishing amicably behind him, Ace bowed his head in greeting, his voice a gentle rumble as he spoke. "I do not believe we have properly met yet, but it is a pleasure to meet you both. My name is Ace Caravello." It seemed the two already knew each other.

Glancing at the direction the two females were looking in, he saw the movement of prey not too far away. Pronghorn. His stomach rumbled quietly at the thought of food as he hadn't eaten since the evening before. Lifting his muzzle, he noted that they were downwind from the pronghorn herd, a good start for the hunt before it even began. Turning back to the two females, Ace smiled widely. He wasn't sure if anyone else was going to appear, but the three of them could take one down. "What's the plan?" He said, letting one of them come forth as the one in charge of the hunting party. He wasn't bad, but he was best left as the muscle used to bring it down.
