The Mountain of Dire is perhaps one of the most well known locations in Relic Lore because it can be seen from almost any location (as long as the trees do not cover the view!) in the forest. The mountain is unforgiving and hard to climb, however because of that, it is heavily unexplored and unknown, and many wolves have only dreamed of the views you could see from the top. There are rumors that a passage hidden in the foothills gives the user a nice, calm climb to the top of the mountain, but it has yet been found and the only alternatives have been to risk the perilous climb on the outside of the mountain.

Treated as a lifeline when crossing Serpent's Pass, the Lake has been known to save many of wolves lives, granting them much needed water... if it can be found. Named Lost Lake due to its mysterious ability to seemingly disappear from the location wolves remember finding it at, the lake can only be found by stumbling across it accidentally because of the way it is tucked down into the Pass itself. To reach the water it requires navigational skill down the side of a small cliff, but it is somewhat easily accessible and many will say worth the effort, as only the most hard-bearing wolves could survive the pass without it.

The further east one moves through Relic Lore, the higher the altitude. But before one reaches the Mountain of Dire, one must cross through Riddle Heights - the foothills of the mountain. Covered with the last remains of the forest, the trees steadily begin to drop away as the slopes get steeper. The terrain becomes progressively more rocky, and more dangerous. As the hills turn into mountain, predators become more and more likely to appear.
