Helen
The lone wolf had been travelling for three days, from the shadows of the ghastly woods, all the way to the new area. She had no idea where she was heading to, but continued with her seemingly never-ending journey nonetheless. With every step she took, her legs trembled and her paws ached. Her appetite had been horrible for the last few days, mostly snacking on birds. While her recent experience with new company didn't go quite well, Helen longed to be with someone. Anyone. She missed her old pack, she missed the days she spent surrounded by her siblings. As she ventured further, she was hit by a wave of scent - silver lupine grasses. "A pack's territory, huh?" she murmured to herself.

Since she had left her old pack long ago, or rather lost her way back, she no longer held a sense of loyalty and belonging to them. She was lost, but ready to start anew. She neither knew how many members this pack consisted of, nor whether they would be willing to accept her. The image of them tearing her to pieces upon her arrival was frightening for the adult wolf. Nonetheless, she had already made up her mind. Sitting down on her haunches, Helen steadied her breath. Was the risk worth it? She had slight hesitations again, but after which, she proceeded with confidence in her instincts. Inhaling deeply, she let out an ever-long howl, hoping against hope that she had made the right choice.

However, something about the scent didn't seem right. Helen pressed her nose onto the earth. A thorough sniff told her that there was only one wolf present in the pack. While that one wolf is "company", Helen knew that a pack wouldn't last with two wolves. With a disappointed grunt, Helen continued on with her journey, retracing her steps and heading off to an entirely new direction.
