Alexander Dieudonné
At this point, Alexander is part of Midnight Plateau.
He hadn't known that a fire had struck this place, even if it was just a small bit. It was a horrible thought that even a part of this place had been sullied by something like a flame. Great trees were reduced to charred stumps, there was no grass, or other flora, just ash and twigs. The smell of smoke and ash was still in the air, but he could breathe, something he was thankful for. He wanted to see this place, look around, see if there was anything left. There were small green shoots poking up through what was dead, which could only bring a smile to his face. It wasn't quite the end yet.

Not far ahead was a tree, but it seemed to stand out. It was blackened in places, but appeared otherwise intact. It only appeared larger, since there really weren't any trees around to challenge it. Not far from its base, Alexander craned his neck upward, easily spotting the canopy, but there wasn't much to see. Focusing back to the floor, he wondered what significance this large tree had. Such a landmark had to have some importance. Perhaps his imagination was running away...It was just a large tree, nothing more, nothing less.

I was gonna set after the SR pack meeting if that's okay? So, during the water shortage too. :D If that's not cool just say.

Often Indru found himself drawn here without any concious thought to visit; it still felt like home even if it was broken and ruined now, even now when he thought of home he paws started on the way here until he corrected himself to return to Swift River. It was unsurprising really, the Tainn male had spent 3 years of his life returning to Hidden Tree after many a scuffle, adventure or hunt with his brother, it was instinct to go there and it was only now that Swift River was beginning to feel like home.

This time though he let himself continue towards his old pack, a wistful longing over taking him to visit the place he had been absent from for over a week since his illness. Not only did it connect him to his parents but at the moment he felt link with Hotei, his young brother he refused to call dead. His thoughts left him distracted and he didn't notice the presence of another until the could see the large, grey coloured male in front of him. The surprise and the location of the wolf — so near his parent's burial site and his birth den — made Indru's fur bristle and just slightly his teeth shown in a low growl that broke his usually calm demeanour. It took a moment for him to remember that this was not an intrusion as however much it still felt like belonged Rihael and Lani's of Hidden Tree, now it was purely a memory to those who knew it as home.

As the thoughts rushed through his head Indru remained in his hostile position briefly; his head lowered over his neck, tail curled over his back, ears flicked backwards and his fur erect along his spine and his teeth bared in a snarl. After a moment reason returned and he sighed, his face softening and he nodded to the wolf glad he had kept the distance between them in case he had attacked without thought. I apologise. With a harmless lash of his tail Indru watched the male carefully ready for an attack even if he longer posed a threat to him, it wouldn't be totally unjust either. This... place still feels like home to me.

Or perhaps not...Someone did have some connection with this place. Either that, or they were just looking for a fight. But Alexander felt no itching in his paws as he slowly shifted his weight onto all four paws, staring back at the nearly-foaming wolf. His stance was purely defensive, and he was prepared to fight if the wolf jumped at him, although, he honestly didn't want to. Words. Words were important, though in the case of the wolf, not always the first thing to occur. It was unfortunate, but Alexander held out, expressionless and waiting.

But the wolf dropped his aggressive stance, leaving Alexander confused, but only for a moment. As the orange-eyed wolf began to speak, Alexander slowly loosed his pose, finally deeming it safe after a moment to pull his eyes off of the opponent. "It's, uhm...Fine." Home? It was nice to know he'd been right. This tree had possessed a purpose. Well, he wasn't necessarily happy about it now, as he'd almost gotten attacked over it. "You used to live here?"
