The words didn't register at first. Like the dumbfounded idiot he was his jaw went slightly slack, and his brow set sternly. A single word, barely audible, slipped out. "What.."

Why was he offered the special privilege if they weren't his? She had made it clear they were hers, and didn't seem to care they had another parent. When it came down to it, it was what bothered him the most. Why in Pangur's name was it Craw? If he had a warning, a clue, he could have lived with the idea. He had liked Craw. "But, he's your..." He couldn't say mate.  But, he could recall how he had stepped in front of him, when the Lyall had mistaken her growl for him. Just like that he had been seen as an uninvited guest without manners. A sudden threat. What the hell was he suppose to think?

But, it suddenly didn't matter either. She was going to turn away from him again. He wondered, why she always took the out like that. Was it easier?

"Oh, no you don't," he growled, not again. Not like this. He didn't bother to think what would happen. He charged at her like she had him countless times. Sure, if he didn't do something to stop her, he would never see her again.

What... she couldn't wrap her head around. Feet were moving of their own accord, back towards the trees. His next words enough to make the fur rise along her spine. He had lost the right to question what or who @Craw was to her and her children when he took off into the tundra. It wasn't until she heard the rapid footsteps coming up behind her that she halted, turning quickly to snap at the air where she judged his face would be soon enough. She was still sore from the hold Sven had gotten on her shoulder, and in no mood for games. Turning on the man with teeth bared was just the beginning.

She couldn't keep the growl out of her voice as she spat. "He is my mate, an' their father because he chose ter be, because he was there, because 'e was happy ter step up no matter the circumstances we found ourselves in. They'll never have ter wonder where they stand or where 'e's gonna run off ter next, or what's goin' through 'is head. And neither will I." There was a fire in her eyes that threatened violence should he say the wrong thing now, as she struggled to get her temper back under control. Finally trusting herself not to yell or maim, she decided to give him one more chance. "Now do yer want ter see them... or not?"

Teeth clipped the side of his neck in a swift bite. Nothing was about to change his mind. Even when they flashed in front of his face. Red guard hairs raised in turn, but he held back from doing more. Still, not wanting to hurt her.

A warning he'd only had the privilege of seeing once settled in her burning gaze. She answered, what she must have thought should be all the reason he would need to understand. Painting the man into a pretty picture of dependability, and throwing those same words she had spoken those months ago in the mix. He had to fight the urge to roll his eyes, and protest. Far as he was concerned Craw had not taken Nicolo nor the Ridge for her. He hadn't made his way past Skoll or Angier. He had simply helped her walk away from it all. Had the spider man gotten what he had wanted in turn?

A slow breath eased from his pinched lungs. Renier had thought he had made it clear where he wanted to stand in her life. Finally, at least he understood what she had in her head; he had been given the same chance. The difference would always be, Renier had left. Now twice without cause.

Pride was a hard thing to swallow. Emotion too. It is what it is.

Why he didn't know the details of her stay here, he doubted the time had been easy. He could see she was trying to keep it together. She, like him, didn't actually want to cause him harm. She was still considering letting him meet them. It was only by that was he able to let go of everything else."Yes, I do. " Firmly, he answered, a small plea in his tone. He had waited long enough. Golden eyes cast down, tucking other things away so he could collect himself in turn. Slowly he met her stare. "For what it's worth I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been such an assuming ass." There was a twitch of his lip, ears turned back. She should know better than anyone else he never apologized. In submission he lowered his head, tail tight against his legs if the words were not enough.

Yes I do. Morganna found herself silently releasing a breath she didn't realise she had been holding. A single nod was offered in response when he finally made up his mind, her back was already turned by the time he apologised. She allowed a short snort of laughter to escape her chest, "'s not yer fault, yer are a male at the end o' the day." she threw him a familiar smirk as she led the way back to the thicket where the children were sleeping. After all, who knew if they'd ever be this far south again?
