Oh, that was right. The weaker were better. He sorta put that lesson out of his mind. The lad felt sudden relief they would pursue later. He only hoped when the time came he could play a bigger part. Last time had been okay, but he would like to feel like he was helping. Briefly, eyed Treyah wondering if she felt the same.

The conversation had turned to something else. Brows furrowed as he listened to his father. He'd known they were trying to find a place to live. Something like the Bend with shelter, water, and food. But, here? It was okay he guessed. It was not like Bend, but he liked how he felt sheltered, not smothered. Could they be a pack? When Kerb and Maera had offered help he hadn't thought it as anything more. But, they had stayed for more than just hunts. He became excited, they only needed to agree, right? Both Leotie and Kerb did, and he shuffled in place. Everyone seemed to be looking upon Maera. Knowing how important her own answer could be. It with a howl she responded, and his tail fiercely wagged. They would all stay, all be family. With Treyah at his side, he smirked, and raised in voice in tune with the others.

up on the mountain, down in the king's lair
Naira

Once she may have thought to take on the healthy animal, but she was aware of her own limitations these days and the kick @Triell took when trying to teach the last lot of yearlings to hunt still haunted her. It wouldn't serve anyone well to have both larger wolves out of action. She smiled at her children as they processed the information, adding it to the list of lessons to remember while she waited for the rest of the adults to decide if this was where they wanted to be. Leotie was the first to weigh in, her agreeable tone met with a wave of Naira's tail, then Kerberos turned to Maera. She was a wolf Naira still needed to get a measure of, but the name Slayer was known to her and for that reason alone she would be afforded more patience than those that came before.

It would seem that words weren't needed as the woman tipped her head back and howled, the two children wasting no time in joining her. A smirk was thrown to the dark Tainn, so this was it? Would this pack blow up in her face too, or was this finally it? The last to join the howl, making sure all the rest agreed before the deal was signed she had a sneaking suspicion the herd may not be back here tonight, but with any luck it would take them a few days to realise the new additions to this little draw were permanent ones.
