Askan Selwyn

Askan had been planning to leave but- he quirked his brow at Inna's question. Had he heard of Oak Tree Bend? Duh. The look he shot her was impudent, as if to say really? Though they weren't on one another's doorsteps Askan considered Oak Tree Bend to be their neighbours, civilised folk who they might run into from time to time. They weren't so close that they had to be social and for that Askan gave himself a pat on the back. Leader or not he wasn't going to turn into a social butterfly anytime soon and he was happy to keep it that way.

"Obliviously." He said, unable to keep the snark locked away. "They're about two days south of the Shallows."

She wasn't an invalid, she could find her own way surely. Again, he was tempted to ask why she wanted to go, but it was pretty damn self explanatory. If the River no longer served as her home then she was probably going to try getting into the Bend. He wondered how well that would go, whether they'd like a subordinate who thought she could get away with whatever she pleased because of her blood. That sounded like something his sisters would have pulled back home, when the Selwyn name meant something.

Inna Baranski

Having never been to Oak Tree Bend and not even knowing what actual direction it was in Inna thought it would be a good idea to ask someone she thought might know. Askan seemed a well traveled wolf, knew where he was going. At least that was the impression that she'd always gotten from the man. So she'd asked in hopes of gaining something that would help her to find Serach. She had wanted to meet her uncle and now that she wasn't under any pack restraints there was nothing holding her back. The response she got from the man was disheartening and annoying at the same time.

It didn't seem to matter what she did, no matter how hard she tried. She'd been nothing but nice to the man who had some fault as to why she'd had to send her daughter away and why she was now stuck in this damn forest. She wanted to chase him out of what was once Hearthwood injure him somehow but she didn't see any point in it. All it would do was put her in danger of injury and she couldn't afford that, not now. She just shook her head and turned to pick up her branch before walking away. She had nothing left to say to a man who was going to act like that after she'd been nice and polite to him.

Inna's exit unless stopped

Askan Selwyn

Askan let her go, though that didn't stop him from sending a bitter glower her way. The Edge Lord had told her what she needed to hear, why was she throwing a pissy fit? If she expected him to sugar coat it then she was a fool, since when did he do that for anyone? Even Reyes wasn't immune to his barbed quips, and he'd gotten pissy at the pups a time or two. It was just his nature and he wasn't going to change for anyone, least of all Inna.

With a huff he turned a flicked his tail, a petty approximation of a middle finger. Whatever. At least he had learned a thing or two. Lach and his crew had left, these woods were empty once more.

Askan was done here, it was time to go home.
