Vaken hadn’t had his heart set on staying by the water for much longer, so when Ferreiran began to trot off he followed. He was still slightly hungry, but it wasn’t horrible. He had eaten something, and that was good enough for now. If his friend wanted to get a move on, he understood. There was a bit of a breeze now that the sun was setting. That made it easier to exert energy.
“I’m coming,” he mumbled, taking one last look at the stream. They could always come back later. He sighed and quickened his pace, catching up to his friend. “Hold your horses.”
