Inactive IV. Subordinate
Davin Galyon
For @Lachesis only.
Dated 12/19 - clear skies, noon.

The boy had gotten within his head the idea that he wanted to share with Karina her interests, as it seemed that most of all, the girl felt misunderstood by those around her. Perhaps this had not been conveyed explicitly, but Davin was able to perceive it as he watched her within the company of others. There was always something unsure about her, a lack of the confidence she deserved to feel. Davin was unwilling still to fully incorporate himself into the pack, and certainly would not be able to sway the minds and actions of others, but he could take steps himself to make certain that she had more than just Kjors to be able to speak freely with about her passions.

As far as he could discern, the only other wolf to share her affinity for natural remedies was her teacher, Lachesis. Davin knew the man to be highly respected within the pack, even taking the mantle of leadership at one point to relieve Maksim as he healed. There was an inkling of fear within the boy that perhaps this meant he would be turned away, that the other wolf might be too busy to spare time for the shadow member. Still, the priestess was worth the effort, and so Davin made his way to the infirmary, hoping to catch the male second in the vicinity of it.

As he approached the depression within the ground leading into the herbal cache, his gray eyes cast about the area. A soft, questioning woof was issued into the air, hopefully to enter Lachesis' ears and summon him near.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
Sometimes I think of Lachesis as a grumpy hermit XD

Maksim was still absent from the throne as winter progressed. His health had dramatically increased since the attack, but with the frigid temperatures it was taking the green-eyed male a little longer to return to full health. Despite this, XIX was no longer worried—time and patience was the best medicine for Mak. The healer would occasionally bring him a plant or two for sore joints and mild pain; however, the need for these was becoming less frequent as the days went by. Stepping back (temporarily) from his position at leader was proving beneficial—it was giving the agouti male more time to spend with his family during the cold winter months. Once he was back to his prime he could return as king—doctor’s orders, of course. For now, Karpos was doing a fine job ensuring that the pack was looked after and the borders were being tended to.

As a result of the attack Lachesis’ supplies were dwindling; he would have to go collect some of the more important items that were getting low. The ghost was finishing up his inventory count when a soft ‘woof’ disturbed him. A soft frown creased his maw as he (reluctantly) padded over to the entrance of his den and climbed out. A tawny figure stood at the mouth of the infirmary—there seemed to be nothing wrong, medically, with him, so why had he summoned the healer? Giving his bleached coat a quick shake, the second stood tall before the younger wolf while giving him a questioning look. “Davin, right?” He asked quickly with a slight tilt of his head, chartreuse eyes focused on  the tawny boy. “What can I help you with?” The ghost wasn’t busy by all means—he did want to start collecting herbs as soon as possible—he was just curious as to why a perfectly healthy wolf was requesting the presence of the pack’s healer?
