Cold Water Creek If I didn't have you

Aponi's followed behind the man instinctively after his motion, her daughter falling into place at her side. They walked in comfortable silence for a while as he led them along the streams bank and the mother felt a stirring of pride as she realized that she had in fact been heading in the correct direction. She wasn't sure how long they had been walking before Drestig asked a question that caused the woman to pause in her step for a moment.  Blue eyes flashed sideways to her daughter to see her reaction before she fell back into pace.

Brushing against the blonde pelted pup Aponi did her best to silently comfort her with physical touch.  Nodding in agreement to Kyna's words the Aquila was not sure what more to add so she let the silence stretch out for a few moments. Finally she broke the slight awkwardness that enveloped them with a few words, "Silent Moon Plateau may be gone, but the mountain will always remain." It may have been nonsense to the alpha who led them but the silver woman hoped this would be enough to comfort her daughter.  Aponi lifted her chin to look towards the mountain but found the dense foliage covered the view of the stone giant.

Looking away quickly she pushed its visual absence from her mind. The Plateau was her past, the Bend was her present. Together the trio moved towards their new home, mother and daughter happy to finally be done travelling.
