Set on March 24th, just before nightfall
A huff escaped Namid’s maw as she moved, pausing a moment to take in their surroundings to make sure again that they were where she thought they were. It wasn’t the first time she’d made this journey, but when she left the Cove she couldn’t help but feel the faint shadow of panic that she would become lost again and not be able to find her way back. But, this time she wasn’t alone. In tow were her three children and her Husband. They had left the day before in the afternoon after making sure everything was in order, making sure that Draven was comfortable and that Nathaniel knew what to do in certain god forbidden circumstances and the sort. After many well wishes the family had departed, excitement in the woman’s veins. She could feel her stomach starting to swell, though it wasn’t quite so bad yet and was certainly manageable. But, soon she knew that she would practically be a walking puffer fish. Her graceful walk would turn into more of a waddle and then it would turn into possibly three or more precious pups that would grace their lives with more joy.
After they had made their way down the mountain they’d camped out a little ways off of the base. Throughout the night the queen had had to step out to wretch up dinner, but it was something she’d grown accustomed to. It wasn’t as bad as it had been before she’d born Aleister, Neha, and Cernan, that much she could tell, but it was enough to make her feel almost a little tart. But, she was able to reign in her hormones and avoid snapping at any of them much to her great effort. They’d set off early in the morning after that, traveling most of the day with frequent stops to ensure that she wasn’t putting too much strain on the beings within her and on the pups. To her knowledge, other than Aleister, this would be the longest journey they had been on in their lives yet and she expected them to be sore and tired from it. After catching lunch they had continued on, finally making it to the outskirts of the massive Cedar forest just before nightfall. She’d hoped that her brother and Rook would allow them to spend the night within their borders and maybe spend the next day with them getting to know everything that had happened since their last visit and allow the children to spend the quality time with their uncle.
Stopping just outside the borders of the Hollow, she turned to her family. “I know we are all tired, but this is not only a visit to your uncle. This is also a visit between allies, so I want you all on your best behavior alright? I am very proud of you all for making this journey, it is not easy but I promise you it will be worth it. Ready?” she said, a grin breaking out over her maw. Slowly a wag began to shake her tail to and fro, allowing herself a minute to go to each child and fret a moment over their looks, making sure they looked like the blessings she saw them as. The pale queen also took a moment for her and her mate, making sure he knew that she was thankful for allowed them to do this and pressing a kiss or two to his cheek and a nuzzle to his chest. She had imagined this moment for as long as she could remember, now it was time to make it a reality.
