Wild Cherry Orchard [TfT] Bird Skull

Tit for Tat, This or That

Dangling from the naked limb of a cherry tree is the bleached skull of some small bird. It would perhaps be cute if it weren't quite so morbid, staring at you with those empty sockets. Who put the skull up there? Another bird?

— Again she was shadowed by the limbs of timbers, their pale limbs littered with ivory and magenta petals that had not yet turned into the both bitter and sweet berry that was the favorite food for an avian creature or two. Bright copper eyes seemed to gaze up at these bleached fingers with a lazy mind, looking at the hues without truly seeing what was before her. A few times the tired soldier lowered her lips to the emerald blades of grass and picked up a stone pitted fruit that dared to stain her lips red as if covered in blood.

— A sigh seemed to come from those walnut touched lips before she seemed to contemplate a rest beneath the sweet scented forest, maybe just this once she could let her aching limbs rest from her endless journey. Rest from the tireless walking she seemed to be doing for days on end, how long had she been alone?

— Just as she had thought of collapsing to the warm earth a bleached object caught her eyes, its ivory construction strange enough for her to move in for a closer look. "Now, how did you get up there?" She questioned the inanimate object, great now she was talking to bird skulls! Shaking her skull she reached up to let her nose touch the skull of a long dead avian creature, curious to how it got there. Would it be alright if she took it, what would she do with it?
